Giants Win!

50 posts in this topic

Now I can stop worrying about an asterisk next to 19-0, and I can stop worrying about a possible Super Bowl scandal.

Now there's no more doubts, and whatever happens with Spygate, happens.

And now all is right in the NFL world.

I can stop being a Patriot-hater, and I can sleep easier now over that Monday Night Football game. Tom Brady can go back to being on my list of favorite quarterbacks to watch play, Adalius Thomas can go back to my list of favorite players (defensive or otherwise), and Bill Belichick can (sorta) go back to my list of favorite coaches. (I emphasize the "sorta" on Belichick, right there...LOL)

Now, I can focus on the Ravens' 2008 campaign once again, and look forward to seeing Ed Reed/Ray Lewis/Willis McGahee have fun at the Pro Bowl with the AFC Squad under *gulp* Norv Turner...

The Pats are not going to have that entire team back next year. They could lose Moss and Samual to free agency. Moss may take another pay cut but Samual is going for a pay day. And their defense is getting really old. Between their 5 linebackers they have been in the league a combined 96 years ,not good.

It was already improbable enough that they went 18-0 before finally losing.

There were times during the regular season, starting with the Eagles game, that the Patriots were in danger of losing. It was only a matter of time before that caught up to them.

Because of the law of averages, it's unlikely that they'll repeat such a run at perfection for the second consecutive season. They may hit something like 10-0 or an undefeated mark that's been touched several times, but not another 16-0 run, and certainly not another shot at 19-0.

We had the discussion already.

The so-called ESPN "experts" were pretty funny again.

Their game picks were totallywrong again (41-10 ; 35-21 ; 35-10...).

It's funny to see how wrong they are all the time.

Perhaps they should stop predicting games next season

I think they should start by not calling themselves 'experts', anymore.

I hate the 72 Dolphins, so I'm pretty disappointed.

I hate 'em too.

But I'm pretty sure I'd hate the 08 pats even more.

And, as I have said so many times...

the 72 pats will die out soon

lets just be patient and be thankful for ^.

The pats need a major overhaul on defense. there LBs are just too old. If they are keeping Moss.. do you think hes gonna stay for the 3 mil they got em for this year? Not. He will be asking for upwards of the top 3 WR's, T-O and M.Harrison, and guess what, Moss is younger then both, and holds the single season TD record, so Moss will prolly ask for more then both.

responding to the topic:

YES!!!! I was real impressed when Eli shook off three to-be sacks, and completed one downfield, and #85 caught that ball, and held on to that with his helmet!! damn, I was really enjoyin myself yesterday.

At first I didn't like Eli until I started hearing him speak and deflect everything towards the team and that people who know him talk about him being a shy person. He's the anti-Peyton. I've also always liked Tom Coughlin. They are a good team to watch, much more team-based than the Pats where everyone vies for the spotlight.

I don't care what anyone says, that TD to Gaffney wasn't a TD, if it was then the "Control Rule" is null and void. If it wasn't for that I wouldn't care if the Patriots won the superbowl, as far as I'm concerned they are 17-2.

Even Michael Wilbon, who was sitting right in front of me (thanks Ravens!), said it wasn't a catch (no thanks refs!)

i hate the giants so i'm not glad that they are the champs but it goes to show that ANY team can be beaten! to go a step further....if it is found to be true that the pats taped the rams walk-through in that 1st super bowl then that means they've been doing it for years and further punishment would have to be considered.

not cool....not cool at all!!!

We all know they been cheating for a long time. The NFL is just trying to cover most of it up so they dont have to deal with the pressure of" Pats cheated, take there SB rings and title" so instead they said it was only a few tapes, from the past couple seasons. We all know that if they cheated in the regular season, they will for sure in the playoffs and SB's when it counts alot more.
