A league source has confirmed to us that safety Eric Berry has agreed to terms with the Chiefs.

Berry's deal establishes a ceiling for the Seahawks and tackle Russell Okung at No. 6. The floor for Browns cornerback Joe Haden has been set by McClain's deal.
Edit: Eric Berry signed a 6 Year $60 Million contract with $34 Million Guaranteed. That now makes Berry the highest paid Safety in the league.

Woah did Berry ever bank in there.
Agreed. He's making more than a lot of his peers combined.
The Jets have been pretty busy today, signing Coles as well as extending Rex and Mike T and re-opening negotiations with the Revis camp. Well they may not be done, as according to Lisa Zimmerman, the signing of the Jets first round pick Kyle Wilson could be completed as soon as tonight.
ROOKIE SALARY CAP PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

$50 Million Guaranteed???? Wow... amazing.

2010: Sam Bradford 6 Years $78 Million $50 Million Guaranteed

2009: Matthew Stafford 6 Years $72 Million $41.7 Million Guaranteed

2008: Matt Ryan 6 Years $72 Million $34.75 Million Guaranteed

2007: J-Russell 6 Years $61 Million $32 Million Guaranteed

Each year the Guaranteed Money went up, and the total value of the contract went up, luckily they are talking of a rookie salary now to stop this. Like you said Wacko one sack could put him on the IR for the season. If I was a GM and was forced to pay that much money to a QB, I would bench him his rookie season and tell him to learn the playbook and let a veteran take the reigns in his first year and if things were going bad start him mid season or something. Rams better have a good plan on starting him or benching him his first year so he can learn the playbook.

The Bucs have come to terms with their 1st Pick Gerald McCoy and they signed LT Donald Penn to a 6 year contract.

http://www2.tbo.com/content/2010/jul/31/bucs-reach-terms-penn-mccoy-camp-opens/sports-bucs/
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have settled their contractual differences with disgruntled left tackle Donald Penn and agreed to terms on a five-year contract with top draft pick Gerald McCoy.
Great job by Tampa, locking down a LT for 6 years and McCoy with a 5 year deal. Now that surprises me it's only a 5 year deal and not a 6 year deal for McCoy.

Edit: Gerald McCoy's deal is for 5 years $63 Million with $35 Million Guaranteed.

Browns agree to terms with Joe Haden: $12M signing bonus paid in 2010, $26M guaranteed, $50M max on a 5-yr deal. More on NFL.com

Good for Tampa Bay. Their defense is looking better then it has been.

Good for the Browns. I was thinking Haden could have held out but I guess not. Though certainly I do question 5 years and why they didn't give him 6 years... well than again if your Joe at least he'll be able to leave Cleveland before he enters his prime and go kick butt on another team ;) lol.

PFT is reporting that Suh may sign today but it also is out there that Suh may want 1st pick money so a Holdout could happen with Suh & The Lions.

Well now with Haden and Berry signed this should get the Seahawks an good idea for Okung's contract but than again since he is a LT he could want something similar to Trent Williams so it should be interesting.

Broncos sign Demaryius Thomas!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/31/demaryius-thomas-agrees-to-deal-with-broncos/
He agreed to five-year deal worth $12.155 million. He can earn roughly $15.5 million in max value and $9.35 guaranteed, according to Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post. (Tim Tebow, taken three picks later, got a $11.25 base contract with $8.7 million guaranteed and far higher escalators.)
Well the Broncos now will begin the rebuilding process with Thomas replacing Marshall, and Tebow replacing Cutler as the Franchise QB.
The Giants announced Saturday night that they have signed No. 15 overall pick Jason Pierre-Paul. A league source tells Mike Florio that Pierre-Paul will receive $20 million over five years with $11 million guaranteed.
I wonder how many back flips JPP did when he signed this deal.

The Bucs are on the way up, I expect them to be really good in about 3 or so years because they're locking up good players on both lines of scrimmage. If they get solid #1 and #2 WRs, a good safety and a good TE to back up or even take Winslows place, they could be set for the next several years.

To be completely honest with you guys, I think Jermaine Gresham has some bust potential, at least in terms of being a receiver. He's in Cincys offense, which doesn't favor the TE to be involved much, and he's behind some of the leagues better WRs. Again, since they were run first last year and will be again this year barring injury to Benson or tremendous success through the air, I expect Gresham to be more of a blocking TE than the receiving threat he is expected to be.

Oh Yeah, Tampa is definitely on the rise. They did a great job in the draft taking McCoy and Price to shore up their defensive line to help stop the run. They locked up Donald Penn at LT, got Gerald McCoy locked in, and like you said if they can get a # 1 WR at least, Benn can be the # 2 receiver they would be fine and that would open up Winslow more on the field. Tampa should consider trading for VJ, to give Josh Freeman a # 1 WR to work with.

Edit: The Titans have come to terms with Derrick Morgan on a 5 year contract.

A few more fist round signings to report.

Earl Thomas has agreed with the Seahawks:

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/01/seahawks-reach-deal-with-earl-thomas/
The Seahawks agreed to terms with safety Earl Thomas late Saturday night.

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports the contract includes $21.1 million over five seasons, with $12.32 million guaranteed. Thomas was taken fourteenth overall out of Texas for his instinctive centerfield skills at free safety. He should start right away and his deal allows Seattle to focus on signing No. 6 overall pick Russell Okung.
The Jets have signed a Corner.... Kyle Wilson.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/31/jets-sign-a-corner-not-named-revis/
The New York Jets were happy to see Boise State cornerback Kyle Wilson slide down the draft board in round one. So when Wilson remained available at No. 29, the AFC finalists pounced.

And now they've gotten him under contract.

Per a league source, Wilson has signed a five-year deal.
Edit: Kyle Wilson's contract is worth up to a max of $13 Million over 5 years with $7.12 Million Guaranteed.

Well to those of you who had Spiller being the last rookie to sign, you lost. CJ Spiller has agreed to terms with the Bills on a 5 year deal.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/08/06/cj-spiller-signs-on-with-the-bills/
Tim Graham of ESPN reports Spiller agreed to terms a five-year, $25 million contract with $20.5 million guarantees. Spiller can earn a maximum of $37.5 million. (If he starts producing like O.J. Simpson.)
Now Russell Okung is the last 1st round rookie left to sign their contract.
