He is going to be the future of that defense. Right now they are building the D-line around Richard Seymour. I wouldn't be shocked to see that defense be ranked better then 20. Maybe 18 or 17th ranked defense in the league.

Raiders sign Rolando McClain! Its a 5 year $40 million deal and it includes $23 million guaranteed.
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5419596

HA! Take that JO! 2-1 now. :P
I was at school, if I wasn't or at least had access to my password I may have gotten it posted before you lol.

Now I think this is great for the Raiders. Like I said I picked them as my sleeper team in the AFC and McClain is one of the reasons why. Sure it was a little too high for a MLB which again makes it a Al Davis pick but it was a smart choice. They would be smart to extend Seymour before the season.

ugh..... i just saw that and was about to post it.

That's a good thing for the Dolphins, glad to see rookies getting signed and having no hold outs.... yet. Still waiting to see if any of the top picks hold out so it will be interesting.

I think Jaguars Tyson Alualu will hold out.

I agree good for Dolphins. That d-line is going to be good, i think they should have brought back Jason Taylor, a veteran like him always helps. I like thier secondary with two young corners and aquisition of Karlos Dansby, That D is going to be really good.

Oh yeah, with Phillip Merling having his issues Odrick will have a good chance to make an impact for the Dolphins defense this season. I'm sure the Patriots will regret not taking Odrick and letting him slip to division rival Miami.

Plus it's good money for Odrick where he was selected at 28, 5 year deal; $13.071 Million with $7.133 Million Guaranteed

Tebow is Under Contract!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/29/broncos-sign-tim-tebow/
Tebow, the Heisman Trophy-winning Florida quarterback, will now head to training camp in a competition with incumbent starter Kyle Orton and backup Brady Quinn.

Tebow is unlikely to win that competition in camp, but he'll almost certainly get on the field in certain packages, and the Broncos see him eventually becoming their franchise quarterback.
3-2 Wacko!

Nice. Very good move for the Falcons, Weatherspoon is going to be a great player for them this season and the future. They have worked on their defense by drafting young players to lead their defense and Weatherspoon will be one of them. Can't wait to see the money he got, along with Tebow. Tebow's agent said he wanted more money for Tebow than Dez because of Tebow being a QB so it will be interesting to see if Jimmy Sexton got his wish and Tebow is richer than Dez.

Edit: According to NFL.com Sean got a 5 year $17.5 Million deal with $10.5 Million guaranteed.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/29/tim-tebow-will-not-make-33-million/

Edit: The Contract is a 5 year $11.25 base package, and that he can earn up to $33 Million if he meets certain incentives. So it's only actually $11.25 Million contract Tebow signed, so not $33 Million.

Here's how Tim's incentives are broken down per PFT:
Tebow's incentives are broken down into playing time and performance escalators. If Tebow can reach every playing time trigger and become the consistent starting quarterback (possibly soon), he could make up to $24 million over five years.

Another $9 million is tied up in escalators for difficult goals like Pro Bowls, playoff wins, and Super Bowl appearances.
So Jo, how do we settle the witherspoon signing? its our record is 3-2.
Sizzle got that one since he first reported it, I didn't know we were racing each other to see who can report the news first, for me I check the boards and if nobody has posted anything about it than I will. Though I will have this to offer up and this should make Steelers fans happy. Pouncey contract could be finished tomorrow.

http://www.steelersdepot.com/2010/07/sources-pouncey-contract-close-to-completion/
The Pouncey deal is expected to be 5 years and in the neighborhood total value of between 20 and 22 million dollars, sources said. The deal is expected to be finished on Friday as the Steelers report to Latrobe for training camp. This would mark the 6th straight year the Steelers have had all draft picks under contract by the start of training camp if indeed completed on time.
Once it's official Pouncey is signed than yes 3-3. Ok I can calm down Tebow only got a 5 year $11.25 Million contract and with incentives he can earn a maxim of $33 Million. I edited the post above about Tebow's contract.

Yeah plus, I'm eventually hoping to be a Sports Broadcaster some day and be out there analyzing games, and NFL news and stuff but if I can't do that I would love to do what Adam Schefter does and that is have the role of being one of the first to know about a player signing, trades, contracts, etc and all that stuff that Adam does.

Brandon Graham is officially an Eagle!

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/29/brandon-graham-is-headed-to-eagles-camp/
Defensive end Brandon Graham agreed to terms on a five-year contract, the Eagles announced. The No. 13 overall pick from Michigan, Graham ran with the second-team defense during mini-camp season. He's the second highest draft pick to sign thus far.
Eagles now have all their rookies signed, and the salary for Graham is unknown at this point.

Staying in the NFC East, the Redskins are making a major push to get Trent Williams into camp on time.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/29/redskins-making-major-push-to-get-trent-williams-into-camp/
Multiple sources tell us that the Redskins are closing in on a deal with tackle Trent Williams, the fourth overall pick in the 2010 draft.

One source said that the Redskins are making a "major push" to get Williams signed. Another source said that a deal was close earlier today, but differences arose
3-3 and its a tie again.
who cares lol. You know the thing that surprises me is that they have been 5 year deals. I mean granted I know 1-16 the maximum contract length is 6 years, and 17-32 is a max of 5, but I'm surprised that McClain and Graham both who are in the area of getting a max of 6 years got 5, and I read that the Bucs can't decide between 5 or 6 years when it comes to Gerald McCoy's contract, I would think the Bucs and any team who can a sign rookie to a max of 6 years would want their players locked up at the max length of 6 years, and for the Bucs sake they better hope they get a 6 year deal done with McCoy because they don't want to be winning and reaching the playoffs and McCoy is getting ready to leave for Free Agency.

I think all Top 5 picks will get 6 year deals, maybe nto Trent Williams, but definitely Berry, McCoy, Suh and Bradford.

I think McCoy and Suh's contract depend's on what Bradford gets.

I think Bradford will get a 6 year deal, he has the tough task of turning the Rams around and Bradford will need all 6 years to do so. Suh and McCoy should get 6 year deals like you said, Trent Williams, the way the redskins are pushing to sign him it wouldn't surprise me to see them go 6 years and make him the highest paid Tackle. Berry will get 6 because KC might as well keep him for as long as they can, and for taking him at 5, they better have him at 6 years. Okung I would say will sign a 6 year deal, or whatever Trent gets, Haden will get a 5 year deal possibly 6 years but it looks like Haden is holding out.

Hopefully tomorrow(or later today lol) Bradford is signed and Suh, McCoy and the rest of the 1st round picks follow suit.

I wont be shocked to see Texans rookie,Kareem Jackson signed by this sunday.

They just got a deal done with Ben Tate, so I'd assume all focus is torwards Kareem. or maybe Kareem waits to see what Joe Haden gets. Also I could see Browns giving Haden a 6 year contract.

Agent: Uh.. it is you are officially a Saint.
Patrick: Oh... sweet... now I can dream of picking off all the QBs I'll be facing this year. Thanks!" Now please don't call me at 3am ever again.

You think Patrick will star over last years pick CB Malcom Jenkins and lets not forget Tracy Porter and Jabari Greer?

Im interested in seeing what 49ers do with their 1st Rd picks. I mean both were drafted very early. So I would imagine you can't give 1 more money then the other because Davis was taken at like #11 and Mike Iupati at #13.

I think Russell Okung, who I think was the best tackle will get a 6 year deal.
No. The reason they drafted Patrick is because they plan on using Jenkins as a Safety and a replacement for Darren Sharper, Jenkins may remain the backup Safety/Nickel CB but Patrick Robinson will be the nickel corner once Jenkins starts at safety full time.

Okung will be the best tackle in the draft class myself, just like I think Michael Oher will be the best tackle of the 2009 class(and not just because we drafted him) will definitely get a 6 year deal, Seattle needs him locked up for as long as they can, Tackles don't just grow on trees and Okung will protect Matt Hasselback's blind side and whom ever the Franchise QB will be.

Though I do think Bulaga may come in a close 2nd. I still have no idea why the 49ers traded up to get Davis, I don't think he was going anywhere and the 49ers could have got him at 13, shoot if they would have took someone else at 13, or traded up to 11 like they did and took someone else they could have got Davis at 17 or they still could have took Iupati at 17 and traded up at the bottom of the 1st to get Davis.
