Terrell Suggs On ESPN2

30 posts in this topic

Terrell Suggs will be a guest analyst on NFL Live Thursday and Friday (July 15-16) at 4 p.m. ET on ESPN2, where he will join analyst Tedy Bruschi and discuss the latest NFL news, the Ravens' offseason and their Super Bowl chances, according to Ravens' FB."

The only thing I want to hear Suggs talk about is his weight reduction and his football-playing shape for the upcoming season.

Agreed. Even the acquisitions, this team needs him to rush the passer like he did as a rookie.

Couldn't agree more, IMO anything less than 100 tackles/ 8 sacks will be a disappointing season for him and for us. He needs to be a force again plain and simple. We all want the same thing, so lets see it Sizzle!

100 tackles is steep considering the position he plays but I'm expecting double digit sacks.

glad he's looking "lean and mean" haha good choice of words... and agreed sizzle needs a big year for us to do the things we're all expecting. he could do a great deal to help out of the secondary until all are healthy. and good pass rush and we're in business

I got the sense from listening to Sizz argue with Tedy Bruschi that he's hungry this season. He talked about Ray Rice and Q being hungry but I think Sizz is chomping at the bit to get in there and smash some teeth. Last season had to be as much of a disappointment for him as it was for us.

You are right, more big plays will come from sacks too. How awesome would it be to see Suggs rack up a career high for sack numbers.

Is there anywhere we will be able to view the video online?

I dont think so, since it was not an interview, he is just a guest anchor for the day

I think he is going to have a break out season seeing the upgrade we have done on offense.
He prolly wants to show off that him, Ray and the defense are still numeral uno in Bmore..

Double digit sacks and a few forced fumbles would be great! I hope he's true to his word and makes it back to being a force on D again. I feel the pass rush is our biggest obstacle to overcome. We need ya to step it up Sizz.

Although I loved that he said it, does anyone really think Rice can win MVP?

I personally don't, CJ2K broke 2,000 yards rushing with 5.6YPC and he still didnt win it.

I guess the fact that we will win the Super Bowl will help him, but since they declare MVP before the Super Bowl is played, Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre have a much better chance if they perform similar or better than last year and meet us there, hell even Frank Gore might beat him if he leads the Niners to a Super Bowl, although I'd still take Rice any day of the week.

It's about time. He's evolved into a complete player but after racking up 12 sacks as a rookie, you'd think he'd at least hit double digit sacks more than once in his following 6 seasons.

I always wonder how good he could have been if he had looked after his body for his whole career.
[/quote]

So do I. He's had a good career but I think it could have been so much better if he had the drive of some other players.

Did he not say the Ravens would be the better defense? Did he not defend the Ravens defense? I really can't see how anyone could have a problem with anything Suggs said.

Honestly it is a tough decision to make, the Jets lead the NFL in defense last season. But like Suggs said, the style of defense the Jets play was created in Baltimore, so you gotta go with the original.

I wasn't even mad at Sizzle for naming Troy P as his "comeback player of the year".

Alot of these guy go on shows like NFLTA, because it's a way to get their feet wet in what may ever well be their career after football.

Suggs gave an objective view on all the subject he spoke on. Other then us Ravens fans, who really wanted to hear Suggs just name Ravens players for all his answers.

imo there is nothing worse then when a player gets on these shows and just finds a way to bring attention to his team, even when it's clear they aren't relavent.

It's like having Jake Delhomme, come on the show and he's asked who will be the best defense in the AFC North, and he goes on and on about how the Browns have improved. Nobody outside of Celevland would really care.

Could Bruschi be any more of a hater? I wanted to pull out some of the Haterade jokes.

I don't think anyone that doesn't play quarterback is going to win and it will be difficult for anyone not named Peyton Manning.

Exactly my point. The only potential to win it this year outside of QB is if CJ2K leads his team deep in the playoffs and gets another 2000 yard season, or Andre Johnson if he can magicly break 2000 yards, which would be nearly impossible.

First off, I was responding to you he's "starting to become complacent and lazy" when one could argue he's been that way ever since he got franchised.

Trading him wouldn't be wise in my opinion.

As for what he said in regards to the Jets, I really don't see what the big deal. And I'm pretty sure he has passion for his team. Once appearance on ESPN2 isn't going to make forget what he'd done on the field.
