Some Questions For Orioles Fans.

10 posts in this topic

Hey ppl, just wanted to see if there are some baseball fans in this board. If so, I would like to know what your input is on the Bedard trade to seattle. It didn't happen yet, but the offers are there from several teams. Who here wants bedard traded? definately not me!

Yeah, we're trading for young prospects. young, cheap prospects. But I really would rather keep bedard than roberts, bedeard is a solid ace, a BEAST. and roberts and the steroid thing really puts a question on how he will react this season.

I ended my thirteen year exile from Maryland last summer. I brought my gf (raised in Texas and Florida) to an Orioles- Red Sox game and a Ravens- Eagles preseason game. The Ravens game was as great as a preseason game can be...if not, it was a little better. The O's game was a fat disgrace. The stadium was full of Red Sox fans. What is wrong with Orioles fans?

I'd hate to see Bedard go, but the trade offer at the top of the list looks to be good. Angelos needs to let his GM do his job.

yeah, i agree. but nothing is wrong with the fans really, they are loyal enough. it's the organization that needs to start doin something. but they are, and with MacPhail doin most of the managerical decisions, we are going to be in rebuild mode, but ultimately in a winning situation.

And about the bedard trade, he didn't interfere at all. it's in the baltimoresun.com article. I guess we want more people involved.

it just shows that it is officially a complete re-building mode. truthfully, i hate re-building, but it has to happen in order to compete in that division! bedard is a beast and trading him along with tejada (not that it matters now with his legal problems now!) and maybe even brian roberts soon after means it will be a little while before the playoffs are back in baltimore in baseball!

im glad bedard got traded and they should trade roberts too. theyre great players because we'd be getting a total of probably 15 good, young players for 3 of ours. (tejada, bedard, roberts) theres gotta be at least 2 or 3 stars out of the 15. we're goin in the right direction.

free the birds!

as fans we don't like to see our favorites traded but atleast the orioles got someone in office now who is dedicated to seriously competing in the AL east. let's face it, this was a disgruntled bunch. if tejada, roberts, bedard, markakis, mora, cabrera and co. couldn't get it done there was something deeper involved. the losing needs to stop for this once proud franchise so the only thing left to do was blow it up and build from the ground up.
