Training Camp/Raven's Roost?

3 posts in this topic

OK, so my Wife and I (PSL Owners and Season Ticket Holders) from Millersville, Md. have never been to Training Camp and are currently not part of a local Raven's Roost. We are definitely interested in seeing our team during training camp but are not sure when, how, where, etc. Looking for some advice for a newbee on how this all works like when to get there and where to go. What to expect and where do you park? Also, interested in a local Raven's Roost. Can someone explain to me why you should join and be part of a local Raven's Roost? Thanks....

Training Camp schedule can be found here on Ravens website, it his held at McDaniel College in Westminister. There is parking nearby, several lots and street parking. Council of Ravens Roosts website is http://www.councilrr.com/Index.aspx You can search for your local Roost from there. Ravens Roosts are fan clubs with a charitible purpose. My brother is Don Miller, president of the Council, and member of Roost 50 in Carney. While i myself am not a member, due solely to the fact that my schedule conflicts w/ their scheduled meetings, I do tailgate with them for games. Roost 50 raises most of its funds from the private lot that they operate for home games. Their chief beneficiary is St. Vincent's Center, http://www.catholiccharities-md.org/st-vincents-center/ Ravens Roosts descend from Colts Corrals, the Baltimore Colts fan organization.

I know this thread is a little old, but in the hopes you may see this - dude, you have a Roost right around the corner. ;-) The 101st Airborne Roost meets at Ellie's Bar on Veterans Highway, right near the Millersville Police Station. They do a lot of charity stuff and they also have tailgates, parties and dances and such. There are 10 Roosts in Anne Arundel County: Pasadena, Magothy Beach, Point Pleasant, Brooklyn, 2 in Glen Burnie, Millersville, Marley, Annapolis, Cape St Claire. Just pick one.
