Ed Reed was ranked #1 by NFL network, by rod Woodson, ahead of Troy Palamalu, Adrian Wilson, Sharper.

Rod Woodson( July 12) complemented Reed of being the ultimate play reader, and his ability to translate interception into gameplay

I miss Ed Reed already. come back healthy, and hope he can get that contact!

thats something thats already public knowledge and he's not going to get any sort of contract anytime soon, so that part doesn't make sense. What he said was taken out of context by everyone including all of the media.

currently, he cant figure out if he feels likes hes 25 again, or 35%.

I read it more like this. I think he wanted to waited it out till next year, when his fully healthy to talk about the contract. By then, Ed Reed will have a better health news for more positive outlook for himself. but what's the chance of getting a good contract when there's a deadlock next year? What happens when they give e big money to haloti? A lot of things are going through his mind IMO, when his was at home with his family, especially financially.

He's not trying to show his cards; a bit of gamesmanship on his part.

He is the best. I was on those board defending him against Steeler fans. Where were you! Don't worry I held it down. Stats never lie...

I am really confused as to how Antrel Rolle is top 6, imo there are better safeties. Is he forgetting Chris Hope, OJ Atogwe(although he was later mentioned), Kerry Rhodes, Michael Griffen, Brandon Merriwether, Brian Dawkins, and Bob Sanders.

But as for Reed, obviously.

Not surprised in the least that Ed is #1. Would have expected Sharper to be tied for 2nd with Polo instead of 5th.

At least now that it's coming out of Woodson's mouth all the Steelers fans can lay the Reed/Polamalu "debate" to rest.

There is no right answer, it's all based on opinion. I'd take either or BOTH!

Okay.... if thats news to you, then this must be too: Peyton Manning, best QB in the NFL :o . Lately its as if this board is a competition to see who can make the most topics.

I think it's funny, after reading some of the garbage on these boards last season about how Ed is becoming a liability for our team, and how his risk-taking hurt us.
yawn...

Anyway, Ed is the man. We already knew that...

Harper's gray hairs were incredibly noticeable on TV haha. Also is Rod telling us anything that we didn't already know?

Thats probably the most sensible thing there is to say about this. Even if everyone agreed, still doesn't change the fact it is an opinion.

They're as desperate for something to talk about as we are. Only a couple weeks left.

I think you nailed it. He will concentrate on getting back to close to 100%. I think he wants to go 3 more years.
