Even though Vick is INNOCENT as ruled by officials, I still wouldn't want him on my team because he hasn't grown up! In the new NFL where players, owners and franchises get fined, why would you want to put up with this from a back up that half of the city doesn't even approve of.

Trade for smith Philly, at least he has a good head on his shoulders.

Mike V is a piece of ____(you fill in the blank here as you see fit) and should not have the privledge to play a sport for money. He has not grown up one bit and still thinks he's above the law. I bet this is "within the culture" as well and shouldn't be held against him. Oh bull honkey!! Ban him from the NFL!!!

Okay, I'm done now :)
Wasn't something similar said about the Patriots when they traded their long time quarterback within their division?
Except Donovan McNabb is still a good quarterback, while Bledsoe had been irrelevant(not to mention injured) for a while. Also, the Patriots had just won a Super Bowl with Tom Brady. What have Kevin Kolb or Michael Vick accomplished? What has Donovan McNabb done to deserve the boot? The problem for the Eagles has *never* been the quarterback, and they just got Donovan a bunch of weapons to play with after years of expecting him to be Superman, and now they're cutting him loose. It's a series of moves by the Eagles that makes no sense, and won't have any payoff.

They've pretty much given the division away to the Cowboys, who they couldn't even beat last year with a good quarterback. How is Kevin Kolb or Michael Vick going to fare against them?

I'll gladly take DeSean Jackson for Troy Smith. Seriously though, we wouldn't get higher than a 5th, but I wouldn't be surprised to get a 6th. I love Smith, but he hasn't shown anything for a team to be willing to take a huge risk on him.

Now that would be like heaven

I'm not a fan of Desean Jackson. I think he's arrogant, immature and he will got rocked some day going across the middle.

NO THANKS!

My thread wasn't meant to come off as stupid. I can't help it if people hijack it with their nonsense. I am strictly talking about for a late round pick or a depth player for Troy smith.

Eagles are a mess. Getting rid of Donovan McNabb was one of the worst moves in NFL history.
I disagree. I think they should have dumped McNabb long long ago. The man is a roller coaster. His play is so inconsistent it is insane. And he has yet, in all his years of playing, to prove he can win the big one to take them to the next level.

Now...about Troy Smith.....Ravens don't need him. Try to get something for him. Why keep a player who doesn't want to be here and has proven he believes he is OWED something. He is not a proven player and yet, he feels like he is above being a back-up. We don't need the attitude in our organization.

Key word: "appearances"

McNabb puts up some stunning numbers during the regular season. This is not some rookie QB that one might expect to stumble under pressure. He is a seasoned vet who still cannot perform in the clutch and win the big game.

What weapons did McNabb ever have, though? The one year he had an actual weapon in T.O and he took the team to the Super Bowl, albeit T.O was injured during the playoffs. With DeSean and then Maclin and McCoy it seemed like the Eagles really had something going...and what do they do? Trade away their star QB. It makes no sense, and you can't fault McNabb for his mishaps over the years when his organization never properly supported him. American Football is not basketball, one guy can't carry the team a la Michael Jordan.
