You know the Airbender cartoon, that is light-hearted, has [i]real[/i], well-drawn kung fu, and likable characters? [u]It's none of that.[/u] Written, directed and produced by M. Night Shyamalan. Sixth Sense was great and it has been a rocket sled downhill ever since. As soon as I saw his name stamped on every possible piece of the film's advertising, I new disaster had struck.

Money. He has his following, and some people see a movie regardless of reviews. Until the money stops coming in from his movies, Muh Night is still going to make movies. Best part is... he's planning on Airbender being a trilogy.

I was just joking. I'll be watching Toy Story 3 tomorrow but will find to watch Predators.

Never cared for any M Night's movies. The only reason I may end going to see 'The Last Airbender' would be because my kids like the animated series.

As for 'Predators', it's Robert Rodriguez -- how bad can it be, really? I do not intend on seeing it until it comes out on home disc; even then I won't pay "New Release" price.

If it tells you anything, I just saw 'The Watchmen' for the first time last week; that was a waste of two-hours.

Just got out of Predators. I want my money back, that movie may have made me dumber than dog crap. I vow never to see a R.Rodriguez movie ever again.

Adrian Brody looks like he took acting lessons from Christian Bale....there isn't one good thing I could say about this movie except that the credits at the end were a nice change of pace....

EDIT: I should of expected as much from the guy who brought us Spy Kids....

Story blew, acting blew, special effects weren't even that great. I would say if i had to chose one great thing was the homage they gave to the first predator.

Seems to be the the run-of-the-mill Folly-wood flick. Just a re-scripted adaptation of the same flick, new actors and CGI (good or bad). Honestly, I'm about done with movies all together. The last new movies I saw that were worth a damn were 'Shutter Island' and 'The Departed'. I'm not a DiCaprio fan, but both of those movies were awesome.

Shutter Island might have been good for me if I couldn't tell how it ended after 15 minutes. It's probably the DiCaprio factor... I look suspiciously at anything he does.

Yeah and you would think after 30 years, it would be decent! they tried to market this away from AVP but it ended up being just like those movies. It's a very predictable movie and there really isn't that much fighting scenes until the end.

It's not as if it was universally panned, it has generally favorable reviews for what it is, it's just like you wouldn't go watch a Seth Rogen movie expecting Oscar performances... unless he's playing Ben Roethlisberger in Predators 2.

I'm the same way with movies. Give 10 - 20 minutes, I know how it's going to end. I don't base movies on the storyline so much as I base it on if it actually entertained me. For instance, 'The Watchmen' got great reviews but there were parts that seemed to drag on and on, lost it's entertainment factor towards the end.

The new 'The Karate Kid' movie, got horrible reviews, knew how it was going to end, a lot of bits & pieces from the originals scattered about... but it was entertaining.

I found 'The Departed' and 'Shutter Island' highly entertaining.

I just dunno why Brodie had to sound like Christian Bale. I mean when the predators selected the greatest warriors on earth what they really meant was the biggest stereotypes from action movies...

I read the comics when I was younger, after I saw the first 'Predator' movie -- my grandfather took me to an old comic book store & I found some tattered 'Predator' comics, I even had a couple of 'Batman vs. Predator' issues.

So, if what you're say is true, then maybe I'll be able to look past Brodie's "less than stellar" performance and see what you're seeing.
