Matthew Stafford

9 posts in this topic

I was just watching NFL Network and I just wanted to comment on how much I like Matthew Stafford. He probably didn't want to come to Detroit in the first place but that's where he was drafted and instantly stepped into a leadership position.

I am watching the DET Vs CLE game AKA the "Toilet Bowl" (Any FNL fans?!) and watching him sacrifice his body around and come back on the field injured to help his team win shows a lot about a person and I think that will be one of his defining moments as a young quarterback. I think everyone on his team who might of been on the fence about him got won over that game.

Good luck to Matthew and the Lions, I hope they get at least 8 wins this year.

The Lions are turning it around. Slowly but surely. I really like them and the chiefs in a few years. Both built their teams in solid ways. Still might be a rough year for both, but in a couple more years they will be in the conversation for competitive teams.

Their defense is going to be good. They have so many like good players. Vanden Bosch, Corey Williams, Juliamn Peterson, they drafted Suh and that CB Amari Speivey. Plus they have a promising safety in Louis Delmas. I think they will have a good defense. But that O-line, who is gonna keep Matt Stafford standing?

Thank the Lord you didn't say the Vikings. As soon as Favre calls it quits, they'll suck.

I'm looking forward to some Stafford to Johnson bombs.

And the conversation about whether or not Stafford was better than Sanchez should've ended there. Whereas Sanchez had more to play for and a better supporting cast, he still took a few games off due to an 'injury'. Stafford had no chance of making the playoffs and had virtually no help outside of Johnson, and he still played through injuries.

The Vikings are a win it now team,Favre will start to break down earlier and earlier in the season if he keeps playing and Adrian may not even be on the team in a year.
