Kiffin Out In Oakland?

11 posts in this topic

As long as Al Davis is owner the Raiders will be in shambles. He'll never learn that it takes patience to build a team, this is already his third different coach in as many years and he wants a new one again? Oh well it's great watching the Raiders in as much disarray as they are in :D

When I see Al's antics and the stuff Danny-boy pulls, I count my blessings that we have Steve Bisciotti. As bad as some people think our firing/hiring process was, it was nothing compared to what is going on with the other "R" teams.

I so totally agree. On another board I frequent the Raider fans are asking if they cam impeach the owner!

With the Raiders publicly denying any intent to oust Lane Kiffin, this smells like the Art Shell debacle with Adam Schefter last offseason.

For those who don't remember, the NFL Network's Adam Schefter was the first to break the news that the Raiders were to release Art Shell, which Al Davis vehemently denied. Davis even went so far as to attack Schefter's journalistic integrity, and cited Schefter's days as a beat writer for the Denver Broncos as unprofessional bias.

Of course, Schefter was the bigger man and stood by his story, which turned out to be true mere days later. Of course, not without taking a little jab at Al Davis on-air beforehand, for good measure. ;)

Al Davis has drafted a letter of resignation for Raider's HC Lane Kiffin. Early reports are saying he wants Denny Green. Kiffin refuses to sign it attempting to force Al Davis.

Al Davis has lost his marbles. He might as well coach the team his self because he isnt going to get anyone worth while to coach that team.

Wish we could to do that to Angelos.

Those 2 probably meet at golf outings and discuss how they could further worsen their respective teams. I bet Al was angry that the dolphins and falcons stole his limelight meanwhile Angelos holds up his end of the bargain with that Rangers game (choking on vomit). I wish Steve would buy the O's or maybe Ed Hale (owner of the Blast).

Angelos would never sell the O's. Our best bet to get him out was when the Nationals moved to D.C. If the he hadnt got so much reassurance from the MLB, he would have been hurt more finacially. I wish he would just sell the team to the state of Maryland, sort of like Greenbay owns the Packers. I dont want a non Baltimore native to own the team because even though I dont follow baseball, I would hate to see the O's not in Baltimore. That just wouldnt be right, they have been here for so long.
