I believe Stoudamire will still in Phoenix after them getting so far in the playoffs. It'd be a big blow to the Suns if he left.

I dont know about that.....
A person with knowledge of the situation says Amare Stoudemire's days with the Phoenix Suns are over after the team reached contract agreements with forward Hakim Warrick and center Channing Frye.

The person told The Associated Press that Warrick agreed to a four-year, $18 million deal on Friday, shortly after Frye agreed to a five-year, $30 million offer to re-sign with Phoenix. The person spoke on the condition of anonymity because the contracts can't be signed until July 8.

The two agreements mean any deal with Stoudemire would put the Suns far over the amount the franchise is willing to pay. The two sides negotiated for three hours without success Wednesday night just before the deadline for players to become free agents.
EDIT:

Just watched ESPN News and there is breaking news. Amare is ecpeted to sign with Knicks. They are in the progress of signing Amare to a 5 yr, 100 M max contract, it is VERY likely that Amare will be wearing the Blue&Orange.

It's Stoudamire's fault really. Regardless, it's still a big blow to Phoenix without him. Warrick is decent at best, not a suitable replacement for A'mare at all. I can't see Phoenix having the same level of success without him.

Dirk Nowitzki and the Mavericks agree to terms on 4-year deal worth at least 80 million bucks

Hopefully that's true. NBA.com is saying that Dirk hasn't agreed yet to the 4 year, $96 million contract. Even if that isn't true and he hasn't signed, it's only a matter of time. No team can offer Dirk more money than Dallas. Now we just need to wrap up Branden Haywood.

If he does agree to a contract less than the maximum, I'll be thrilled. Dallas needs all the extra money they can get.

Curious to see who Dallas is going after next, since Dirk took the lesser contract so Dallas can get some help for him. Only problem is even with Dirk taking less money, Dallas still won't be able to land anyone big without going about it with a sign-and-trade. Wonder who Dallas would be willing to give up. Really, the only logical choices (in my opinion) would be Butler or Marion. I really can't see them shipping off Terry (one of the best, if not the best, sixth men in the league), Kidd is off limits, and Dampier isn't worth anything.

Edit: Yeah, NBA.com just reported it. And apparently, David Lee was "very impressed" by Minnesota. Lee would sure give The T'Wolves three huge players in Love, Jefferson, and Lee. Just for... poo... and giggles, play Lee at Small Forward, Jefferson at Power Forward, and Love at Center. You got one huge front court.

i guess Lee see's his future gone now that Stoudemire is with Knicks. Lee should go to the clippers if he wants to win. clippers are beter team then Twolves.

But also one clogged paint and not alot of perimeter defense from your 3. I think you've got to have Jeff at centre, Love at 4 and Lee getting 35 minutes a night spelling at both spots.

So LeBron is set to make his decision on monday. So anyone want to share thier Final thoughts since he has met with teams?

I see it really as a race between Cavaliers and Knicks.

He wont go to Heat if Wade goes to Bulls. Bulls wont go after LeBron if they get Bosh&Wade, plus Bulls can only get 2 players, so that'd automatically rule him out. Clippers and Nets seem unlikely, but you never know, I think Clippers are much better choice then Nets, but thats my opinion.

So yes I think the Amare Stoudemire trade could convince LeBronn to come to NY, but then do they have enough money to keep David Lee as well? I think they'd be under cap if they signed Stoudemire, re-sign David Lee and signed LeBron, right?

However, the question is how loyal is LeBron. Does he have enough loyalty to convincee him to stay, or does money and/or the chance to win a championship blind his loyalty?

Yeah, I know. I was just messing around. Honestly, if Lee does sign with Minnesota, I think he'd be playing PF with Jefferson at C, with Love spelling them both.

It looks like his decision isn't going to be made until after his basketball camp breaks on Wednesday.

Joe Johnson is sticking to Atlanta, Dirk is staying in Dallas. Bosh, James, Wade, and Stoudamire are the last "big" names left.

A'mare might very well be a Knick (apparently, both he and D'Antoni are willing to work together again). Wade is currently in Miami and talking to the Heat's owner. So does that mean there's a good chance he's staying, or are the Heat just making their final push to try to keep him? Bosh is the biggest enigma, there's been no word of him talking with anyone, and the only news is that he's most likely not going back to Toronto.

There's nothing solid yet, but A'mare has been in alot of talks with New York and was offered a Max Contract. Couple that with Phoenix looking to be moving on without him, it seems like NY is where he'll end up.

Edit:
A'mare Stoudamire just agreed to a five year, $100 million contract with the Knicks.

I wonder where David Lee goes? I keep heraring best place for him to go to is GS Warriors. I kinda agree with that, the team is really turning around with Stephen Curry. They could do a sign & trade and maybe the Knicks trade for Warriors 1st rd pick Ekpe Udoh.

Lee won't be part of a sign and trade. The teams looking at him have more than enough cap space to offer him a nice contract. All I heard about him was he had a great meeting with Minnesota, however that isn't the best fit for him.

From NBA.com
"Lee's cap hold and Stoudemire's starting salary of $17.2 million would put the Knicks' cap space at $6.9 million. So if they still hope to land James or Wade, the Knicks can't make any firm plans to sign-and-trade Lee. They would have to renounce his rights to sign James or Wade."

nuff said. congrats knicks fans. IM kinda surprised no one waited for LeBron toi sign first.

However Knicks need a PG like Stoudemire had in Phoenix.

Atlanta Hawks make two year offer to Shaquille O'Neal
http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/07/report-atlanta-hawks-make-two-year-offer-to-shaquille-oneal.php

Hmm I thought having Al Horford would prevent this, I guess they want some veteran presence or maybe this is just Joe Johnson recruiting players. Johnson did say he was going to try and recruit players. Question is Does Shaq make`Atlanta any better?

If NY wants to win, they need to make a serious push for Wade or LeBron. Stoudamire alone won't even get them to the play-offs.

Wade and Bosh in Miami v. LeBron and Amar'e in New York... that will be fun to watch. If LeBron goes back to Cleveland, I'll be very disappointed.

The Raptors say a sign & Trade with the cavaliers would eb OK. So Basically Bosh would eb traded to cavaliers for a draft pick and some players, I ra dthis on an ESPN article and I quote from ESPN
The exact details of the potential trade have not been solidified, but Toronto likely would get Anderson Varejao and/or J.J. Hickson, Delonte West and perhaps Anthony Parker. A draft pick could be involved as well.
If Bosh goes to the Cavaliers, they will be good with Mo Williams, Antwan jamison. I think they would be in better shape if they could keep Varejao for depth purposes, but that is my opinion.

Varejo really? Mister choke? He was basically non excistent for the Celtics series and when the Cavs went on runs he helped kill them by missing shots left and right,I feel the Cavs should cut their ties with him

Bosh has said numerous times that he doesn't want to play in Cleveland, but if he could be alongside LeBron, I think his tune might change a bit.
