Wow...This is pretty nice. I guess I'll start going on my internet through Mozilla icon, instead of the comcast icon. I never knew of this at all.

I guess I'll just have to get used to it now...

When I first went to FireFox I had to put my IE in the recycle bin so I would not use it. I will never go back to IE.

IE = JUNK

Firefox is light years beyond simply because you can customize it.

The themes aren't even half of it - they are actually superficial (although they're nice). It's when you get into the extensions that Firefox really shines. From ad blocking to Flash Got and the ability to save images directly into different folders, each version of Firefox can be as different as the person using it. I'll never go back to IE, either.

I LOVE the bookmark toolbar feature, where you can save links as icons onto your dashboard.

I almost NEVER type anything into the URL address bar anymore.

Plus, the Wikipedia extension is nifty, since I always wanna look things up on Wikipedia, but forget to later.

AND...someone showed me how to make the browser load pages faster by adjusting certain values in the browser. If I ever find that link again that he showed me, I'll post it here. (Don't worry, it's legal, since all it's doing is disabling certain limiting values within the browser itself, which then "supercharges" the browser)

I'm always slightly cautious with any information I get off wikipedia, because I know that some silly, immature people think it's funny to write mean stuff about people/things they dont like.

I know that because I do it sometimes.

It depends on what you're looking up.

An entry on Queen Elizabeth I is more likely to be accurate than an entry on George W. Bush.

But I know exactly what you're talking about. I've seen some ridiculous stuff on Wikipedia. I even had to edit a couple entries about my hometown because someone who lives there saw fit to bash it (not because of me, though). Wikipedia should never be interpreted as authoritative. To be honest, the older I get, I'm not sure what really is authoritative anymore.

The only things I look up on Wikipedia are usually entertainment-based or pop culture-based.

Like, if it's a slang term I've never heard of, I'll find it on Wikipedia or Urban Dictionary. Or if it's about, say, a movie that I kinda forgot but need to jog my memory, or a video game I hadn't played in a long time, etc.

I don't really go on there to LEARN anything, I just go on there to fill in the blanks for myself, pretty much.

I was helping my son with a History project tonight, and he said they were allowed to use any online site but Wiki. I wished they had computers when I was in school :lol: I too like using Wiki for simple stuff and Urban Dictionary is a must if I am to understand some posts on this site!!!
