Gave me goose bumps.

It's pretty funny, how we (the fans on the forumn, were for the majority, right with each offering of the jobs.

Harbaugh sounds like a great coach. And his energy and passion is something that is needed to spark this team.

I'm ready for next year!

that was really inspiring. i love how he lets us into the inner workings of the franchise. we as fans should consider ourselves lucky that we have that kind of insight. this organization really cares about its fans. im proud to support them.

That is nice to read. I like the part where John is just like "Make me your head coach, I'll find the answers". Bisciotti is like "Ok your my new head coach". :)

I can't wait till next season already. I have a feeling we will be very competitive next season.

Hopefully the spark John shows for our team, the players will follow him!

i hope all the players read that blog. theres no way it wouldnt inspire them.

I'm sure Harby's going to inspire the players many more times. In the article, it says he is going to go meet every one of the players.

Each player, will hopefully be in awe of him just like the Front Office.

I wished we offered the job to him first instead of Garrett. The blog makes it seem like Harbaugh was their main man. They must have felt even better about Garrett , if they offered him the job.

We are lucky. Flat out lucky to have an organization as professional as this one. We dont have to worry about the crazy uber-ego owners out there. Art's advice to John is backed up. Paraphrased - "Surround yourself with good people and the winning will come."

The more insight I have into the Ravens, the more respect I have for them. I just hope the other major sports franchise in this town learns something from them.

I visit a lot of Raven-related sites. Everywhere I've gone today has a link to this blog. People are raving about it AND holding it up as a great insight into how the hiring came to pass and the type of character our new HC has.

Kevin definitely hit this one out of the park.

I was going to just post the same thing, Birdfan. I also read Dick Cass' entry tonite and really enjoyed that, also.

This entry is precisely why I trust the front office and the organization as a whole to make good decisions. This is also why I was wary of releasing Brian Billick, since I understood the human side of it all, which very few fans stopped to think about.

Although, as fans, we feel entitled to get more than our money's worth every time we pay to see the product on the field, a lot of us get caught up in the emotion of it all and don't realize the cold reality of the NFL. It's a job where people succeed at others' expense, moreso than any corporate setting I've seen. As most coaches say, it's a cutthroat business, and the only other field that I believe could compare in terms of sheer ruthlessness is the entertainment industry, particularly Hollywood.

This blog, as well as every insider piece on this website, is well worth the read, and I sleep much better at night, knowing that I made the right choice in pledging my support and loyalty to this team.

So all the talk about Bisciotti overruling Ozzie (who supposedly wanted Schottenheimer) was just that...talk.

Thanks to Kevin for taking the time to write a blog like this.

It's obvious he puts some time into it, and it's much appreciated.

plus i think it offer's and/or offer's better insight for the fans out there that are left in the fog about certain things. and i think that it offers a better look for the fans to look into that "smoothes" out at least some of the bumps in the road for the fans to further understand.
