Dolphins "open For Business" With Trades For #1 Pick

11 posts in this topic

The only way I see anyone trading up would be in the battle for #3. If every team there, ATL, KC, or OAK. For example if they all wanted Jake Long out of Michigan they could trade up and grab him, otherwise it will be Miami.

If Parcells and his cronies switch the Dolphins to a 3-4, I don't see them picking Dorsey. Would kind of suck to have a monster like him just deal with blockers all day.

They could still pick Chris Long, he's a beastly 3-4 player. Not sure about him as the #1 pick, though.

They need an Ozzie.

Any team that really wants McFadden probably, might make a deal. Jets are like damn! Jets might trade picks to ensure.

We really don't need to trade up, we need to take a page from parcells's book and try to trade down. He knows the dolphins are rebuilding so he is trying to stockpile picks and hope he gets a few young players. Jerry Jones did the same for the ailing Cowboys and its turned out pretty well for him. The more players you take the better chance you have to hit the jackpot. Plus, the only really talked about guy is Darren Mcfadden and the dolphins have Ronnie Brown, who statistically was the best RB in the league until his season-ending injury. Lets face it, Glenn Dorsey is not a gamebreaker, name one DT who has changed the outcome of a team's season with his stellar performance. There is no way he is worth a no 1 pick and i would agree with their strategy and recommend it to the ravens.

Any ideas on whats going to happen with it? Who might trade up if a trade does happen. And im not suggesting the Ravens trade up, out pick is good enough.

I am thinking it might be Dallas because they have the most to offer, 2 first round picks. Word out of Dallas is the Jerry Jones is in love with McFadden.

dallas is rumored to be dangling their 1st rounder and marion barber in parcell's face.

to me that is an extremely stupid move by dallas!! has anyone ever watched barber run? dude is a MONSTER!! this is jerry jones not having any serious football knowledge.

That wouldnt be a smart move for Miami either. Marion Barber is good but Ronnie Brown was a stud before he went down. RB isnt their problem.
