Fantasy Playoffs

3 posts in this topic

I've been in the fantasy playoffs every year for the past 3 years for my leagues. I struggle everytime they come around. I often have the number one team in the league in the regular season but can't put it together for the championship. I'm doing a couple things to see if I can break the trend.

1. Not drafting players from teams that will sit their players around fantasy playoffs. Such as Colts, and maybe the Saints.

2. See if I can rb's with good backups or go with the Ricky, Ronnie, or DeAngelo, Stewart Combo

3. See if I can pickup free agents with potiential during the year.

4. Hope and pray.

Any other advice how you all have won your leagues would be helpful

It sounds like you have a winning combination already. The only thing I can add that you already know is

Great Depth = Playoff wins

This is achieved through draft strategy, being the most active on the wire/trades. Be willing to have a spot or two for project players. Where you snag them early before interest is sparked. Evalutate guys on your bench "Am I really ever going to use this guy? Is there any hope"?

Look at other teams needs and see if there is an opportunity to make your team better.

PuRock said it all.

A good draft, shrewd and timely moves during the year and some luck will bring you success in the fantasy play-offs.
