I'll be interested in seeing who wins it. The WWE seems to want to push either Roman Reigns or Bray Wyatt but I wouldn't be surprised to see Daniel Bryan win it. He's beyond over with the fans at this point. Last Monday was amazing.

As far as Batista, I could also see him winning to Rumble but I ultimately think he's back for Lesnar at Mania.

I kinda think batista will unfortunately win it or maybe a returning Sheamus. Regardless a Face is winning the rumble

Do you guys really think WWE will push Batista and advertise his return like this and have him lose the rumble? Wouldnt that damage his character and his popularity? He will be over and on a hot streak I cant see him returning and then being buried in the rumble.

Not really. Batista is going to be a huge name regardless all the way up until Mania. I doubt he's back for a full-time role anyway with his age and his acting career, which is why I see someone like Roman Reigns or even Bray Wyatt especially with rumors stating that there will be a Wyatt vs Cena match at Mania.

Batista is back for Lesnar. I'm almost certain of it. Especially after the Rock leaked on Twitter that there was originally supposed to be a Rock vs Brock match.

Finally tonight, after 4 years the return of The Animal...BATISTA!!!!!!!!Wwe_Batista_World_Champion_Wallpapers_2.

I'm mixed on his return. I don't mind Lesnar coming back, I don't mind Rock coming back. In terms of Batista, I'm just like, I can do with or without him. Then again, I'm a Daniel Bryan fan so I don't want to see Bryan pushed down the card because of Batista when he truly deserves the Rumble win and to have his WM moment at WM 30.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Orton retain against Cena in some screwy finish, he leaves Elimination Chamber with the title. Bryan wins the Rumble and then faces Orton at WM and gets his redemption over Orton after everything those two did last summer.

Since this thread is back, what is your all opinion of the WWE Network?

Im a Daniel Bryan fan too and I hope he wins, but he has a singles match with Bray Wyatt, so i doubt he will be in the rumble unless they do the thing where you wrestle twice on rumble night.

Been done before. Dolph had a World Title match against Edge and was in the Rumble that night anyway.

I could see that happening. I could see a Bray Wyatt win against Bryan and Bryan hopping in the Rumble to get some of that momentum back. Only thing is, it's rumored that Taker wants Bryan at Mania so it could very well end up being someone else winning the Rumble.

And I know I'll be subscribing to the network. It's worth it for the free future PPVs alone. The backlog makes the deal amazing.

Looks like Daniel Bryan may not be in the rumble match at all which would suck! His match against Bray is reported to be the only action he will see.

Bray Wyatt and Daniel Bryan just wrestled the best match since CM Punk and Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. Fantastic match and a great win for Wyatt. Guess the WWE will be building Wyatt up to face Cena at WM like the rumors say after all.

Yet they will continue to screw Bryan despite being the most over guy since Stone Cold.

I wouldn't have cared if Santino won the Rumble, it would have made more sense for him to win than Batista. If Chris Jericho came back and won, I would have been ok with it. If HBK came out of retirement and won, no problem. Hell, if Hulk Hogan wanted to limp his old self down the ramp on a walker and win the Rumble, that would have made more sense than having Batista win.

The fans chanted for Bryan during the Cena-Orton match, they chanted for him prior to number 30 coming out. They started YES chants in hopes of it being Bryan. They BOOED Rey Mysterio who is a life long good guy when he came out at number 30. Then they turned on Batista completely and started to cheer for Roman Reigns to eliminate Batista and win it. Batista winning the Rumble tonight was the most silent a Rumble crowd has been for any Rumble winner.

I've never been a huge WWE fan, but even I was disappointed with last night's Royal Rumble, and the fans in Pitt had every right to boo them out of the stadium... badly done, WWE, badly done. No way Batista should've won, and no way Bryan should've been left out of the Rumble. It just doesn't make sense.

I haven't watched in months but I heard the crowd was mad that Bryan wasn't in the rumble. Maybe he'll win the EC and face Orton and Batista at WM?

Possible spoilers regarding the road to wrestlemania depending on what you define as a spoiler:

Word is that Batista's contract guaranteed he would win the Rumble and the WWE title at Wrestlemania. Due to the huge backlash to Bryan not even being in the Rumble, it is being considered that we will get a triple threat at WM between the Elimination Chamber winner, Batista, and Daniel Bryan, which Batista would win, leading us into Extreme Rules in Daniel Bryan's home state of Washington, where Bryan would likely win the title.

Take with a grain of salt of course, but I can see this being the case.

Personally I wanted CM Punk to win the Rumble with Bryan working a program with Triple H for WM, but it looks like Punk will be filling that role instead, most likely facing Kane at Elimination Chamber, which would then lead into Punk/Trips for WM.

Before the Rumble, my ideal WM card would have been:

CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar © - WWE Title

John Cena vs The Undertaker

Daniel Bryan vs Triple H

Randy Orton vs Batista (dont actually care about this, but I dont want them in the other matches and it works story-wise)

The Shield vs The Wyatts (looks like we actually will get this, perhaps at EC, depending if Cena/Wyatt lasts until WM)

I could have lived with swapping Punk and Bryan as a second option, but as it stands the current direction isn't interesting me too much.

Just read an article that CM Punk is taking an indefinite leave of absence from WWE and that his WM appearance is in jeopardy if not all but canceled... never thought I'd see Punk leave.

It all depends on where you read it from, either CM Punk has legit walked out or quit.

The script to Raw was re-written late when Punk basically told Vince, "I'm going home" and Punk was written out of Raw in the new script. Reports say he is fed up with part timers coming in and being handed main event spots over guys who have worked the full year and deserve it more. It seems the Rumble did more than alienate the fan base. Punk tweeted this.....

Thanks for all the support. Keep being you guys, it's pretty cool.

Well throw out everything I reckon as CM Punk has quit. Some initial reports seem to suggest WWE was planning on moving Daniel Bryan into a match against Triple H, leaving Punk without a main event opponent.

Can't blame Punk for being upset about this, as after having arguably the best match of 2013 against Brock Lesnar at Summerslam, WWE had been using him in feuds against midcarders (Axel and The Shield). I suspected there would be a light at the end of the tunnel for Punk, with him either winning the Rumble and the title at WM, or wrestling Triple H, but with both options extinguished that would've left him with someone like Kane as a Wrestlemania opponent. Far from an attractive option given Punk's status, talent, and his already diminished role in the company over the last 7 months.

He's said himself he has enough money for the rest of his life, so without a new goal set for WM to provide incentive for him, leaving WWE would be a sensible move from his perspective, especially given the fact he hasn't really had a chance to rest his body since he began his career.

As a huge Punk fan this is very disappointing. I have no interest in Batista, Randy Orton, or John Cena. I like Daniel Bryan but not to the extent I'm a fan of Punk's. I'll probably watch Elimination Chamber as it's usually a solid show irrespective of storylines, but unless there are major changes to the direction I can't see myself being at all interested in Wrestlemania.

How do you think I feel? Here I am spent all of 2013 saving up money in order to make the trip to New Orleans to attend my very first Wrestlemania. I have been so excited, I was even more excited when my friend told me that he had gotten the tickets. I even bought tickets for the Hall of Fame. Then they decide to make my first wrestlemania the biggest screw up ever.

I was so mad that after the Rumble I had legit thought maybe I should sell my WM and HOF tickets. I'm still mad as ever. This may be my first and only WM if they keep this up. I don't even know if I want the WWE Network now. Now you add Punk walking out, makes me even more mad, especially if he won't be at Mania.

The WWE just lost probably the most complete package that they have by losing Punk. I can't say I won't miss him. His 2011-2012 run was some of the most amazing WWE TV in recent memory. Not to mention his match with Lesnar last year. Just awesome all around. I still love looking at his promos from that 2011-2012 run. I hope the WWE is going to actually push some more talent because it's going to seriously get old to have to keep looking at Orton, Cena, and Batista going forward. Never mind. We're past that point.

I'm not sure how the WM card is going to fill out at this point. It was rumored that Vince held a creative meeting following Punk's departure and because of what happened at the Royal Rumble when the crowd started booing Batista. It was said that they are changing up their whole WM card now going forward. I'm wondering who are they actually going to push for Mania, who's Taker going to face, and where will Daniel Bryan be. Also, since it has also been reported (rumored) that Sting has signed with the WWE. Will he appear at Mania or afterwards?

Two things have to happen for me to purchase WM this year, this Punk thing turns out to be a shoot storyline and Daniel Bryan wins at the Elimination Chamber.

Instead of buying WM, you can always go to a local bar and save $60, and if it stinks, you're not out a bunch of money haha

I hear ya. I don't have any WWE gear or anything and am a very casual fan, but it's still fun to watch WM and other big PPV events...

Maaaan!  When the Wyatt family first came to the WWE I thought that they were a complete joke.  I would think that....being an old school (older cat) wrestling fan that loved characters like the 4 horsemen, Junkyard Dog, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Triple H, Booker T and my main man...Bret "The Hitman" Hart to name a few.

But, I must admit, Bray Wyatt is growing on me!  lol!  I love his promos and listening to his cerebral speeches.

I'm starting to get back into this, it caught my attention heading up to the RR. I watched it (legally of course) and was so disappointed. The Wyatt/Bryan match up and The Shield dominating the Rumble were the only high points. Curious to see where they take it from here though.
