Any possibility that maybe JBL is the RAW GM? He is still with the company or somewhat, plus he'd make the perfect GM.

He's not on the company payroll and is said to be enjoying retirement, so I doubt he'd come back to be the RAW GM. TNA is also trying to lure JBL into their fold, but that's highly unlikely given that he's already refused them once or twice in the past. He sounds like a man of his word when he says he'll stay retired; he only came out of semi-retirement the first time because he was waiting to see if his back would fully recover and was biding his time doing commentary.

being the GM would be cool tho,I don't care what anyone says,JBL had decent mic skills. He was a great heel, and I really feel the Raw GM needs to be heel since Teddy is kinda face.Of couorse I say make it the second version of the McMahon Helmsly Regime

I really wish Shane would come back. I understand he wants nothing much to do with WWE now and wants to get into MMA, but the business is in his blood. He'd be perfect as RAW GM since he's been an authority figure before but had never filled that GM capacity; the closest time was when he took over RAW in his father's absence in the build to Triple H's match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania.

Ever since the GM concept, they've always hinted at Shane filling a vacancy on either show throughout the years but never followed through despite fan reaction being enormous.

There's a report hinting at a huge surprise tonight on RAW. This is based on a Tweet by Jim Ross and remarks made by Wade Barrett last night.

If it's not The Rock coming back or Cena turning heel or Triple H making a miraculous recovery or Kurt Angle defecting back to WWE while still under contract with TNA or Paul Heyman making a surprise return (after saying he wanted nothing to do with WWE), I'm not buying into it.

Huge surprise could be the RAW GM finally being revealed?

Also check this out guys.....a PPV main event without CENA!!!! :)

-- Live tonight on Monday Night Raw, three Superstars will compete in a Triple Threat Match to determine WWE Champion Sheamus' opponent at SummerSlam. The match will feature Chris Jericho

vs. Randy Orton vs. Edge for the WWE Title opportunity.

http://rajah.com/base/node/19764

So it WONT be Cena vs. Sheamus at Summerslam.

Well...just because Cena's not in the title match, doesn't mean he's not in the main event. The last card on the match could still feature Cena. ;)

Yeah a PPV Main Event match that is starting the show off, I understand wanting to get viewers early but this type of match needs to be the main event. I expect Orton to win this match and beat Sheamus for the Championship. If they go for the Cena Heel turn than that officially will make Orton the Face of the WWE until Cena goes back to being a face again. Actually screw Cena, Orton needs to be the face now, did you hear the pop he got when he was so close to grabbing the brief case, and just now if your watching Raw when his music started... Vince probably realizes this and Orton will be going to Summer Slam to face Sheamus.

I like Cena... but and even though it maybe Orton who faces Sheamus, it will be something different instead of Cena-Sheamus for the 3rd Straight PPV(if you count Fatal 4 Way since they were both in the match) plus Sheamus is a heel, Edge/Jericho are still heel so with Orton as a huge face and with the popularity he has, it will be Orton winning and heading to Summer Slam.

Well I'll say this, at least Vince follows through on his surprises, I mean he's not Dixie who hypes up a huge surprise and it's really not a huge surprise or they have nothing!

Now for what the surprise could be, either they finally reveal the GM, a huge star defects to Nexus(HHH or Cena, hopefully HHH) or we can hold out hope that Dwayne Johnson found time to be on Raw and do that something big he talked about earlier in the year. Most likely a top star will be defecting to Nexus and even with Trips surgery he probably could come out and just do a quick spot where he comes out with a sledge hammer scaring Nexus out of the ring and out of nowhere he hits Cena, or whomever WWE guys are in the ring with the sledge hammer and Raw would end with Nexus standing in line with Trips standing in front of them.

If Cena turns heel tonight, I'm temporarily a fan of his again by default, even if I think his ring work the past three years has been largely inconsistent.

The seeds have been planted my friend, "If you can't beat em..." and of course John walked away off camera but this is interesting. I guess with Triple H's injuries they had no choice but to go with a Cena heel turn despite the PG Rating, his merchandise sales, etc.

Let me ask you Franchise, since your a huge fan of the Rock and with Triple H injured, wouldn't it be interesting how Cena, the new face of the company turns heel and joins Nexus and the savior winds up being The Rock, planting the seeds for an individual John Cena/Rock match at WM 27 next year.

I would be beyond ECSTATIC if that scenario plays out. But, as much as I love The Rock, the more important thing for the company right now is turning Cena heel to refresh his character. He can go back to being face after WrestleMania or even after Royal Rumble, but he needs a change of pace. It's similar to how fans got bored of The Rock as a face after the second half of 2001 and throughout 2002, eventually bringing about his gradual heel turn in 2003. That was arguably Rock's best work of his career, playing the Hollywood heel. Cena needs something similar to happen.

Though it could be a tease, I mean maybe they could tease it and Cena don't turn heel but like you said Franchise, a Heel turn for Cena would do wonders for his career and the WWE in general. If Cena goes heel.... than It will be safe to say... Cena pulled a Hogan.

Hey It's The Miz! Could he cash in on Sheamus right now???!!!

Miz is ready, regardless of when he cashes in that briefcase. He's already got the total package as a performer, and he can only get better.

Your right and he just delivered another great promo about possibly cashing in MITB. Yeah I expect them to build up the Miz, and make him legit as possible.

Bourne vs Sheamus... interesting. Least with the push Bourne has gotten lately, it won't be a squash match.

Now what is interesting is I always thought Morrison would get a main event push before The Miz, but not The Miz before Morrison. I guess Morrison and Ted are going to have a mid-card feud for a while. Any guess on when The Miz cashes in?

I normally don't mind R-Truth, but I'm mad at him for ruining what could've been a great moment, having Miz be a double-champion! Dammit!

On a related note, I love the crowd reaction for Miz attempting to cash in the briefcase. 1) It demonstrates how over Miz is; and 2) it shows how little the crowd cares for Sheamus. That's not heel heat on Sheamus, that's go-away heat.

I officially hate R-TRUTH more now,man I had freaking goosebumps.I was like ring the damn bell,it would have been Awesome.

My fear tho is that the use the Miz as the first MITB failure. That woukd be a huge mistake imo.

I so agree with you, My jaw dropped when The Miz said he was going to cash in, I was yelling at my tv telling the ref to ring the bell... I was ready to count to 3 along with the ref and Truth ruined it. Good tease though I have no idea why The Miz should be feuding with Truth while he is holding the brief case and getting ready to be in the main event.

Edit: If The Miz would have became Champion at least Cleveland(Miz is from Cleveland) would have a champion who is awesome but a Champion to be proud of!

Nice to see even as a Sheamus fan Jo that you still were cheering for the Miz.

I know you hate the guy Franny, but you have to admit the fans love to hate the Celtic Warrior. He;'s doing a decent job lol

Nahhhh, I won't admit that. Every time I see him on my TV, I'm screaming for him to get off my TV.

Interesting how they're showing a SummerSlam rewind of SummerSlam 1998...the same event I referenced last night that began the star-making push for both The Rock and Triple H, just as last night's match was the star-making push for The Miz.

Well I like some of the guns, Sheamus, Miz, Morrison, and a couple others and I am just glad to see some fresh faces in the Main event instead of seeing the belt rotate between Cena, Triple H, Batista, Orton over & over & over again. That is the big reason I like Sheamus and that's because he's someone new and fresh, I'm not having Cena shoved down my throat every month now. In fact if The Miz would have won FF, I would have changed my picture to a pic of the Miz with the title.

The Comedy of the evening... Santino & Vladimir vs Regal & Ryder, and now the match is over. How come Regal and Santino can wrestle when serious yet they are forced into being a comedy act.

Looks like Zack Ryder started wearing regular trunks instead of that stupid thing with the one pant-leg.

Still doesn't change the fact that he's done nothing significant since breaking away from Curt Hawkins.

I have to admit, I LOL'ed at the viral Gilette commercial with Cena jumping out of the bathroom stall and yelling "THE CHAMP IS HERE!"

Barrett vs Henry.... here we go, is tonight going to be the night that Nexus officially takes the WWE by storm? Does Cena go heel.... will Cena turn his back on the WWE and join Nexus similar to July 1996 when Hulk Hogan turned his back on WCW and formed the NWO? 14 years later does Cena pull a Hulk Hogan?

Even though the question was verbally raised by Lawler on commentary (making it almost obvious that he WON'T be turning heel), I think that it'd still be great shock value to make it happen anyway. It's the symbolism of the moment that would make it shocking, rather than the actual result itself.

But, I can see Cena punking out and doing his whole "I never give up and I never back down" spiel and going ape in the ring, blah blah blah. Boring. -_-
