Here is my first tattoo. Outline first...

Got some of it colored in. Unfortunately, my artist has come down with Leukemia, got a Bone Marrow transplant but it was rejected so things are looking bad. Anyways heres the parts i have colored in

BTW all freehand with the needle, no outlining from this man.

I have a few...

First one I got is on my left bicep. It's 5 M-16 Assault Rifles broken in half to form a star. [Anyone familiar with Anti-Flag?] and it says [Above] Bullets Can't [Below] Stop Ideas

I also have, on my right bicep, a WWII Frag grenade with a Peace symbol for the pin, that reads [top] Power To [Below] The Peaceful

Both of those are in reference to my brother, Adam. US Marine wounded all 3 times he went overseas.

Next, I have my father's name across the top of my back [we lost him in '97] with his dates of birth and death.

Lastly, I have across my collarbones "My Life is My Message" in a beautiful script writing that is, by far, my favorite tattoo.

Alright, so my wife may finally have we convinced me to get a tattoo. Once my second son is born, this is what I am leaning towards.

My Scottish family crest and the dates of my sons birth dates (7/26 and the scheduled delivery of 3/12 of our second). Of course, I wont be doing this until after the second is born so the data is finalized.

Thoughts? Where should I get it?

I have script on my left forearm, got it the day after my grandmothers funeral. Im a history buff so mine is a quote from Marcus Aurelius "Nothing Happens To Anyone That He Is Not Fitted By Nature To Bear". Its translated from its original Greek so there are a lot of variations of it, but that's the one I went with. Still looking for something to supplement it underneath the script.

The second one I'm thinking of getting is a Celtic band in a figure 8 pattern on the lower part of my right bicep, twining underneath the elbow and connecting by the top of the forearm.

I've been on a tattoo high lately. I got a quote on my chest about three weeks ago, and I just got a quote on the inside of my bicep yesterday. Going back next Monday for "52" on my shoulder blade

Haha, it was one of the most painful things I've ever done. My body was shaking as I was getting it

Have a firebird on my chest (HS mascot) that I thought would be cool when I was 18 and went with some teammates. I have aviator's wings on my upper back.

Good off topic post :)

The inner bicep one didn't hurt at all actually. But it just depends what your pain tolerance is that day. My chest took about an hour which isn't bad at all

Not bad at all. Any idea what an upper back (shoulder blade) area feels like? That's an open question to everyone basically. Because there and my bicep, like I said, are my goals.

My friend got an upper back tattoo of a quote that was basically side to side, and said it didn't feel bad at all. The thing that matters the most is if you have a lot of meat on an area you want to get your tattoo. The inside of my bicep didn't hurt at all, but there was a lot of pressure on my chest

It all depends on if your boney or not. I've got a devil woman on one shoulder and a 50s pin up angel on the other. They hurt like hell but were worth it.

I got my daughters name inked on the inside on my left forearm, it took 6 hours in total. Most of the pain was after the lining was done and he had to go back and shade over the lines which had become swollen and bleeding.

Shoulder blade and upper back is the best place imo. It really doesnt hurt much at all, its just uncomfortable sleeping for a little bit. Go for it.

The lining hurts like hell. Shading is the easiest for me. Why didn't you make it 2 visits?
