Even with Kolb's weapons, I'm taking Joe all day.

I agree. Even though the Eagles are more pass happy than Baltimore, Joe has actually, you know. played for signifianct period of time... Plus, he's a Raven so that gets him pretty far in my book.

Maybe it's just me, but every time there is a reference to Kevin Kolb, I immediately remember "second and inches." :empty trophy case:

They make a good point though. As long as Kolb plays in Andy Reid's system, he's going to throw a lot of balls. The Ravens struggled to find an identity last year. Even with the addition of Boldin, I can see us running the ball a lot if we get a lead like usual. Harbaugh has yet to show that aggressive side, which leads me to worry about Flacco's fantasy points.

I haven't thought about Kevin Kolb much yet. But I can see either Kolb or Flacco being my starting QB, as I am a late QB drafter. If I had the chance to choose between the two. I'd still go with Flacco I guess. Partly because of homerism, partly because I know he'll be playing behind a stellar OL and this should be his year to shine.

But Flacco and Kolb I view as near equals in fantasy draft positions. Kolb gets the notice because he'll get the chance to pass...a lot.

straight up...

reliable, proven, and going to improve option is flacco

unsure, possibly unpredictable-incosistant, possible big #'s/sleeper option is kolb

he's played 1 extremely good Defense in his career...... and all i gotta say about that is.... 107

I don't really think this is a question. Look at the numbers that Flacco had with the weapons he had last year. With another year of experience, with more weapons, and more freedom within our offense it would be a surprise if Flacco didn't throw for at least 25 td's and 4000 yards even though the Ravens are a run first offense.

But the only thing that makes me think Kolb might be a better fantasy qb, is that, I imagine the Ravens having a lot of big leads and running the ball a lot once we get ontop. On the other hand, I think Kolb will have to throw more to make up for what his team doesn't have. But still I would rather have the better quarterback. And I don't know how anyone would argue that Kolb is a better qb right now.

I'm on the fence about Kolb. Playing the Chiefs then playing from behind against the Saints doesn't mean that you'll have instant success as QB. I do like his situation, being surrounded by a plethora of talent and being in a pass happy offense, but I swore to myself I wouldn't pick up an Eagles QB as long as Michael Vick is there, too many headaches. Now they have Mike Bell? Ehh, better situations, much like McNabb in Washington lol.

I think the better comparable option is Flacco/Henne. Henne is a huge sleeper this year. He's got weapons around him, including Brandon Marshall, and a solid running game, a lot like us. Flacco has a lot of weapons, including Anquan Boldin, and a solid running game. The only difference in my eyes here between the Dolphins and the Ravens is the defense.

Same here, I think a reason I do that is because I remember Rex saying that he had Henne higher on his draft board than Flacco or something like that.

Good point. I'm liking Henne going into this season.
