Do You Think Corey Ivy Will Be A 2nd String Corner Next Season?

17 posts in this topic

Do you think Corey Ivy will be a 2nd string corner next season? He is a very tough player and will try to make any tackle. He is truly never scared, but can he play corner or is he a situational/special teams player. I only see 3 plays out of the guy pass inter., defensive holding and getting burnt in pass coverage. Tell me what you think.

He is doing better then Pittman and I see him being our Nickel guy for at least one more season. Its going to be interesting between Rolle, Pittman, and Ivy in the years to come.

I thought he had a horrible season. Pittman at least has an upswing. I do not see Ivy even being on this team, Let alone a starter.

i personally feel as though Each of those Players (Ivy and Pittman) are great players in their own way......meaning that they are very talented in what they do and can in fact get the job done and done well in which results in Benefiting their team overall. They just need to learn a little bit more and keep that "open mind" about them that is open to suggestions from Players, and Staff of the Ravens (coaches mainly) and tweak their game plan/skills accordingly.

as both of them are relatively "young".....they still have room to improve upon.....heck i mean, even the Experienced Veterans of the league and the team make mistakes and have to go back and "Learn" how to tweak their game up so that the mistakes wont happen again.........all in all....its a process in which includes building, learning, and adapting to certain aspects of the game and the team.

imo, why not move him to safety, and backup the safety position instead of gerome sapp taking both backup safety spots?

He might be a tad bit above average in my opinion.

i really like ivy, hard worker, physical, etc. etc. he's all you want in a ravens deffense as a nickle.

No way. Do you really want Ivy as our last line of defense if Reed or Landry go down? I think the other kid we have at safety, Winbourne, is a little faster and younger then Ivy. With time he may develop into a solid backup.

Even at Nickel he is at average.

I like him at nickel. Who knows if he was a better tackler, he might have a few more sacks under his belt.

i think ivy is solid. he just is not a cover corner. many times this year he had the coverage but he is just so short they would just jump and make the catch..he was right on the reciever but hes lacking that thing you cant teach...height

ivy should definitely be the nickel corner. putting him in a coverage situation all of the time would spell death for the ravens secondary. since ivy tackles better he should be at nickel.

Yeah definately, he is a great tackler for his size. Maybe not as good as sanders, but still, a great tackler.
