put him on the Rams, that would be Punishment enough. I could see his old D coord taking him over to the Lions to join Suh on the D-Line. That could be a mean line, if he actually gets a work ethic

Redskins and Haynesworth deserve each other, maybe it'll teach them not to throw truckloads of money at players in the offseason.

I'm tired of Haynesworth, he's one of the most overpayed and laziest players ever to play in the NFL (in my opinion). His time at Tennessee didn't warrant a $100,000,000 contract and now he's complaining about it? Oh wait, it's not the work he's having to do. It's because he "wasn't used the way he was promised" and that the Redskins "organization was not one he would have even considered a year ago". Grow up, Albert, and do your job.

How long until some newbie starts a thread saying we should sign him?
Does it have to be a newbie? My guess is @ 5 pm in the general discussion.

Haynesworth has always been a waste of money, even when he does play stellar. He lacks the type of attitude I'm looking for in a player. Stepping on heads, looking for big contracts, demanding trades is hardly desirable, despite his play (only great in contract years).

What a sack of crap. I lost all respect for him when he stomped on that lineman's head, as well as leaving a SB contender in the Titans. He deserves to go to the NFC West.

Albert should grab a cheeseburger, a cold drink and get real comfortable because I don't see anyone trying to trade for him.

One of the worst free agent signings in history.
Agreed!! When he became a Free Agent the only thing he saw was $$$$ signs. Now he says he isn't be used the right way he thought he would... well didn't you consider that before signing the big contract. Didn't you consider the system they ran and whether you could be just as successful in their scheme like you were in Tennessee?

If he does get traded idk where he would go, I mean maybe the Rams, Tampa, or even the Vikings. I'm pretty sure Tampa offered Haynesworth a contract and I would have chose sunny Tampa over Dan Snyder's checkbook. Could you imagine if Haynesworth went to Tampa and having McCoy paired with Haynesworth this season? Rams need defensive help and Steve Spagnolo would certainly use him right since they need defensive line help.

The Vikings I could see... since it seems they take chances on players and somehow it works out(Harvin, Favre) and adding Haynesworth in the mix to rotate with Pat Williams on their defensive line, their defense would be sick! Plus bringing in Haynesworth could be a way for Minnesota to persuade Favre to come back.

Maybe Jamarcuss Russell could use a play date to hit up the strip clubs with?

Seriously though, a franchise that sinks 21M into you (paid just on April 1st - what irony) and then you dont report is total crap. no respect for this guy after this. Just as the poor buggers seemed to be getting their stuff together, their 100M dollar man goes and whines about playing in the 3/4.

He could go to the Island of NFL Has-Beens and Never-Was's and party down with Jamarcus Russell.

Another waste and I'm sure Snyder's repeatedly kicking himself in the *** for giving Mr. Bloated Whiny Diva that big bloated contract. Money doesn't buy a football team, Mr. Snyder. I think you've MAYBE finally started realizing that.

I hope they get some of that 21M back... its kind of a toss up...
a)watch the Redskins struggles continue,
b)stick it to an over-priced crybaby spoiled bratt

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=5292920

Although it has been pretty fun watching the Skins FO screw their poor city around for the last 10 years., I gotta admit even I am pulling for them to get outta this slump, although with Snyder at the helm hard to see it happening.. Ill go with option B

According to NFL.com if he is so disgruntled he can give up his signing bonues and he can be realeased giving him the right to sign with anyone. I bet he stays with the flow.

Wouldn't be surprised if Albert was the one that turned JaMarcus onto the heavy snacks.

If he gets to keep the money, and ends up leaving WSH, that'll be 32M for one year of <bad> football - yucky!

I think he would prob. go to the Lions. Reunite with Jim Schwartz and plus Haynesworth + Suh isnt a bad combo.

However you neve rknow jets the may be interested. I doubt it, but idk.

Is he worth a 1st or 2nd round pick?

He's not worth anything, he does more damage to the Redskins than he could ever do to opposing teams. Snyder should just ban him from team facilities and games, 1 year on the bench will kill his market value.

Yeh but he will get paid to sit on the bench too. Trade him and his contract away. I really despise people like him. Gets 100m to play for the skins and then decides the scheme isnt one he likes. SHUT UP FAT ALBERT!! You are being paid more than almost everyone in the NFL and you are complaining? Wheres that team first mentality?

Almost everyone on the team is taking shots at him through the media, it's incredible. The suitors might dry up, then they can release him. I read that because of some loophole they are going to recoup some of the guaranteed money.

Albert is probably the biggest piece of trash in the NFL. He waits until he gets that massive 20+ million dollar bonus then announces he wants a trade. I couldn't believe it when Adam S. said that Albert had contacted lawyers to see if he could keep the bonus if he deceived the team in to thinking he was going to be there for training camp, collect the bonus and then try to flee.

In my eyes he pretty much extorted a city for tends of millions of dollars. What he did (the bonus) should be illegal.

This is pretty funny, from fanball.com:

The News
Albert Haynesworth will most likely be traded before Week 1 of the regular season, according to the Washington Post.

Our View
They apparently believe they will eventually be able to find a suitor for their petulant, clueless defensive tackle. Stay tuned.

This was just another bad free agent signing by Washington, one of many.
