Anquan / Flacco

29 posts in this topic

I think that if Flacco develops this year, him and Boldin could be a top 5 WR-QB combo this year. Some of the others being Manning to Wayne, Brady to Welker/ Moss, and Shaub to Johnson. Any comments?

I thought this was about Flacco naming his first son after Boldin... It's possible that they become a prolific pair, but the question is how long will that occur. For now I think they'll be good enough this year, and that's good enough for me.

1. Manning-Wayne
2. Schaub-AJ
3. Brady-Welker, Moss
4. Rivers-Vincent Jackson
5. Brees-Colston
6. Flacco-Boldin

Now I'm not nessecarily saying that these receivers are better than Boldin, but just the combination I believe is better. It's tough to say how good they are together when they haven't thrown in an actual game together. That's part of the reason why I put some of those combinations in front of Flacco and Boldin.

If Joe and Q play well during the season and can lead the team deep into the post-season and even win a Super Bowl, I'll consider them a top passing combo.

Best combos in order without including Flacco/Boldin

1. Manning/Wayne
2. Rivers/Jackson
3. Schaub/Johnson
4. Rodgers/Jennings
5. Favre/Rice
6. Brees/Colston
7. Brady/Moss
8. Romo/Austin
9. Eli Manning/Smith
10. Palmer/Ochocinco
11. Ryan/White

That's my top 11, not including Flacco/Boldin. They definitely fit in there somewhere, just not sure where exactly since they haven't played a game together yet. I see them fitting in somewhere around 7 or 8.

I'd have to rank Sanchez/Holmes as the best tandem in football. Untouchable according to some. :mord-hamecon:

The same way Revis and Cromartie became the best CB tandem in football after Antonio was traded to the Jets?

I literally lol'd, hahaha.

I think we can be better than Brees/Colston. I know that Colston is very talented, and he's been one of my favorite WR's since I've watched him play, but that offense is so unique. Brees is able to spread it around to everyone involved, which cuts into Colston's production. Hasn't Marques only barely cracked 1,000 yars on several occassions? If Flacco and Boldin can get on pace, they can be a better duo.

As for the Patriots, you have to remember that this is more than likely Moss's last year with the team, which negates the fact that they may be better than us. Of course that pair was a formidable one, but I'd rather have Flacco/Boldin than Brady/Welker.

Will Flacco put up a 50/8 ratio with Boldin catching 15+ TD's? Doubt it. But they will win at least one SB together, IMO, which Brady/Moss have yet to accomplish together.

Until Schaub has yet another injury, I can't put our duo in front of the Texans'. Andre Johson is the best WR in the league.

Like other people have stated, Flacco/Boldin have yet to play one game together. But success is inevitable.

Well Boldin is only 6'1" and a good percentage of Joe's throws were very high if not out of reach for his receivers. So hopefully Flacco's throws will be under control and he will be able to hit Boldin running full stride to end-zone and hittin him right in the numbers with his defender a step and a half behind him!!!! Ya'll know what I/Us are expecting from our QB and receivers this year. Hopefully it'll be really exciting and has the possiblity of being the next Greatest Show on Turf!!!

i don't think its about flacco boldin as it is how much weve upgraded at wr and te. too soon to say anything about them ranking in the league. boldin and stallworth pairing up with mason is perfect tho. we for sure got one of the best wr corps in the league and flacco will thrive as a result. im too pumped for this year. run n gun.
