Both sides had a lot of missed opportunities. A lot of nervous energy out there with the high shots or off target crosses. I counted several missed headers on South Africa. Glad they got a point, upset Mexico got one too though lol

The call was spot on. Offside counts even if the last defender and goalkeeper are in opposite positions to the attacking player (there's always two defensive players included in offside)! I thought the referee and assistants was outstanding in the game.

I know but I'll flame you anyway . One World Cup and Two European Championships isn't too shabby! It's a lot better than most can manage, including the US and England.

I won't be too critical since my nation hasn't even qualified since '58!

Yep. I wasn't even aware of that part of the off-sides rule till some analysts explained it yesterday.

Hope the floodgates don't open in the second half of this game.
