it looks like that the final will be netherland vs germany. as far as i am from germany and a big soccer fan it couldn´t get any better for us!!!

we beat england, argentina, spain(i really believe in that) and then we get netherland.

i predict a 3:1 against spain. goals for germany: klose, podolski, klose (klose will get his record for most goals in world cup tournaments) goals for spain: d.villa halftime:1:1...

Actually, I'm still hoping for Spain to advance to the final - and win it.

This is mostly based on what I've seen in the group stage, as well as the past two knockout rounds of competition.

I call it - Spain, in a 2-0 win to advance to the final.

Spain is the best team in the world. Finally Del Bosque decided to take off Torres and start a natural winger in Pedro and it payed off. I hope Germany can reach their level in 2-3 years with Ozil,Muller,Khedira,Kroos entering their prime .
Hopefully Klose breaks Ronaldo's record Saturday.

So, we are now down to two for the World Cup championship - Spain vs. the Netherlands. This one is truly one for Cinderella.

I am still believing that Spain can win this year's competition, and I believe it will be by a goal.

I will be one of the first to admit I was wrong about both Netherlands and Spain. I was waiting for each of them to choke at some point in this second round, but it didn't happen. Should be a great, great game Sunday.

Yeah, it was great.

Also, you could tell Ozil and Forlan were just exhausted from everything that's happened this tournament.

Forlan was the best player in this WC and should get the MVP award, he carried his team to an amazing 4th place. It should have been 3rd if not for the awful Muslera (not saying he's a bad goalie,still very young and will definitely improve but today he plain and simple sucked)

I didnt get a chance to see the whole thing but I am happy that Germany took it! Wish they coulda eaten Spain but I guess I will have to take 3rd again . Either way the World Cup has been fun to watch this year, again.

I agree to an extent. Villa aside, there hasn't been a better player in the tournament than Forlan in my opinion.

The match went to extra time, and I actually thought we would be going to penalty kicks, but late in the extra time, Iniesta scored the goal that won it for Spain.

I am happy in my heart to see Spain win this World Cup.

There were some tense moments towards the end and definitely in extra time but the game didn't flow as well as I thought it would because of all the fouls.

Yeah, the Netherlands players were taking cheap shots all game and got caught. De Jong should have been Red Carded for his kick to the chest of the Spanish player.

Haha, you're right, my mistake... well, whatever the case may be, he should have been gone. But, alas, it didn't matter in the end.

I can't wait until 2014! I'm going to do everything in my power to get down to Brazil for some of the matches.
