There were better QBs that I could have taken when I had picked smith, but I thought he mights have been good this season. That and he was my backup- so it would have been for one game (unless manning got injured then I would be screwed). I tended to fill up my main roster first then get backups. The Ds I picked when I did becasue at the time most of the good Ds were being taken. I could have always gotten a better RB to replace Tate as well. But thanks for the help, now I know somewhat of what to look for and to expect.
I'm hoping he has a good season seeing as I actually like the 49ers, but I'm not setting my hopes very high for him =\ And looking at both teams schedules, starting Smith when Manning's on a bye isn't too bad (SF plays Carolina).

The only reason I wait to take defenses is because you can usually get a pretty decent (not a Jets, Ravens, or Steelers caliber) defense at the end. Plus, you can use whatever team is on waivers if they have a good match-up.

Joined. Looking over the scoring and other settings, I approve :P Love me some IDP leagues, I like how you allowed for two defensive backs. Since I have no real preference when it comes to flex positions, I'm cool with not having any.

I figured with the IDPs, a flex spot wasn't necessary.

Can't wait to get underway.

I made a comment on the league board but my only problem with 3 recievers is we will be doing a lot of reaching. We 18 teams needing AT LEAST 3 WRs which would be 54 recievers. Most teams would want to carry AT LEAST another one on their bench which would be another 18. The idea of flex would be better because it would spread out the options of who can go there and doesnt limit the person to a WR like a Brian Robieski or Randle El.

I think flex would be the best idea.

Only suggestion I could make, would be to maybe split it into divisions. However, that's hardly anything major.

Not trying to step on your toes, ED20, but I've made a league for the hell of it. Plus, I've always enjoyed multiple leagues, even if it has some of the same people in it.

16 Teams, 4 Divisions, PPR, IDP
Draft: Sunday, August 1, 6:30EST
QB
RB
RB
WR
WR
TE
W/R/T
K
D/ST
DB
DL
LB
8 Bench (Could change)

If anyone would like to join...

Do you have enough teams? I've been missing out on the forum because I've been on my honeymoon (and still am). If there are available spots, please mark me down for one. If not, no big deal.

Would love to crush you guys.

I understand what you mean but having to maybe rely on WRs that will be lucky to rack 50 yards is counterbalanced by the IDPs.

Not trying to come off as a dictator but if the majority wants a flex, I'll change it.

Head-to-head leagues were made for fantasy football in my opinion. Plus, trash talking and bragging rights aren't as fun in points only leagues.

Agreed. I was in a points only league last year, it just wasn't as fun as head-to-head for me.

It's an open position where you can play a RB, WR or TE. In our league, you won't be able to play a QB in it though.

Wow 3 recievers in a row... your turning into Matt Millen!! JK! So let me get this straight, McNabb is the backup to Joe Flacco? Wow... talk about demotion. I love doing these mocks, in fact I have been so involved that I decided to find a league that started drafting tonight.... it's a 10 team league on Yahoo but I have been doing all these mocks I just wanted to do a real one. So now I have 4 Yahoo FF leagues and 1 ESPN league which brings my total to 5 FF Leagues for the year as of now. lol
