JO you are not going to be pleased with this one.

Aaron Schobel.

But luckily you did pick up Eddie Royal, which was pretty good for that late.

Well Schobel can be decent if he goes to NE or the Texans. Wow Eddie Royal late interesting. Just tell me when its over so I can look over my team. How many teams are in this league again?

Bigger is not better, with 12 teams there are not many free agent moves to make, so I know that with 14 there most not be any moves to make!
[/quote]

You may like smaller leagues but I prefer larger leagues which emphasize a strong draft.

Well since I was locked out of the draft which sucked because I was looking forward to it, I have now started to make moves in Free Agency fixing things that dang auto pick screwed up on, I mean I have 2 defenses, I had 2 Kickers before I dropped Jeff Reed and I am dropping McKelvin to get Al Harris and dropping whoever that DT is in Seattle I got for Richard Seymour.

So, I think my team is solid except for the fact that I am starting Tim Hightower as my 2nd back. Who wants to trade?

Ouch.....Fred Jackson broke his hand in last night's preseason game. CJ Spiller has the chance to make a splash now.

How long do you think Jackson will be out for? I can't imagine he'll be ready to play in the season opener. Perhaps he'll play with a boot on his hand. Wonder if the injury is on his carrying hand.

Its a hand, it can't limit him too much.

And actually, its a possibility he can play through it assuming he didnt shatter every bone in his hand.
When I was in JV, we played a team who's star LB made his hand a club with tape (as in completely coating it several times as to where you couldnt even make out the shape of the hand) and although it looked pretty hilarious and may cause a fumble or two since he is the RB, it's possible and would be HILARIOUS to watch him stiff arm somebody.

There we're actually quite a few people who missed on the draft.

Overall I am fairly pleased with my team.

QB - Palmer, Leinart
WR - Mason, Driver, Chambers, Edelmen, Clayton
RB - Mendenhall, Benson, Jackson, Buchhalter, Snelling
TE - VD

Whoever was the one to take Jermichael Finley before Vernon Davis thank you very much sir.

I'm starting to think maybe I should have taken cooley instead of shainco at TE. Cooley looks like he could be a regular target this season for McNabb last night. Should have just went with my gut I guess.

Cooley will get his targets but so will backup TE is Fred Davis who is a little bigger and just as athletic.

Sorry, I missed the draft, guys. My internet was out for the evening last night. At least I'm somewhat happy with my auto-picked team. Still trying to make some moves to better my team. Hope people don't claim most of my targets off waivers before I do.

Unless you are talking IDP's what possible half decent player is left on the waivers?

Anyone is half decent compared to who I had on my bench, dude. Truth be told, there are a few decent back-ups on waivers. No starters, but depth. Which is what I need.

So I'm looking at a replacement for Antonio Bryant. So I've decided to garner some feedback and opinions. It's between Mike Thomas, Michael Jenkins, and Laurent Robinson. Honestly, I already have my mind, slightly, made up about my choice. But maybe someone will sway me, heh.

What if someone were to intentionally sway you the "wrong way" to protect a player(s) they have on their watch list?

That's why I already made my decision beforehand =P Went with Mike Thomas.

Who are you, Ozymandias?

But I'm glad you took Thomas...really glad.

*Steeples hands and smiles.

I was only briefly considering Laurent Robinson to begin with. I don't think Bradford is going to effect Robinson's numbers that much this year. So really it was between Jenkins and Thomas. With Garrad on the ropes, Jacksonville should pass a bit more this season, so Thomas should get some good looks and decent numbers this season (after showing some promise last year). Not to mention, Torry Holt is not longer in the picture in Jacksonville. He won't be that bad for a 4th wide out.

Can't argue with that reasoning. I personally think Jenkins is the weakest of the three player ut we'll just have to wait and see.

If I had to pick between the three I would've told you Mike Thomas, but you've already figured that out.

I think Mike Thomas has the best chance at succeeding with being the #2 receiver behind MSW.

Yep. Robinson and the rest of St.Louis' WRs have reportedly been getting outshined by Danny Amendola. Thomas on the other hand, has been a star in camp.

If you asked me who the starting receivers are in St. Louis I struggle. I know all the other teams situation. But last year so many guys stepped up and made plays at WR that I'm unsure who will get the job done this year.

You have Amendola, Avery, Robinson, Keenan Burton, Brandon Gibson and they also drafted Gilyard.

Well, the auto-draft results came out for the NFL.com fantasy league I'm in -- as usual, your projected picks, you're lucky to get three of your top ten. I managed to get Q and Mason. I had Rice as my #1, as I'm sure a lot of people did. So, I've got a lot of digging to do for talent if I'm going to overcome the 16-point projected deficit I'm facing. The first week is always the hardest, why oh why...
