I personally don't like Hardesty this year. I think Harrison is goin to take the starting job, and Hardesty will get a couple of carries.

Or at least I have to hope that because Harrison is my #1 back.

Regardless of Hardesty's health, I see Harrison sharing carries with someone, whether it's Hardesty or Davis. Cleveland's backfield is looking more and more like a committee.

There was never really going to be a feature RB. I really don't know why the Brownies even took Hardesty after Harrison tore it up late last year and with Davis and Jennings on the roster.

Like you just said, Harrison tore it up last year. Even if he isn't the feature back, he could very well earn that position of at least the bulk of the carries. Kind of like a Rice-McGahee carry relationship (I'm pointing to the fact of the ratio not goaline carries).

Maybe not, but I still see Harrison being the best of those backs. And if he doesn't get featured at least a little bit, I'm screwed.

Also what do you guys think of Houston's backfield. Will it be like 3 even carriers or will Foster be featured?

The most recent reports are that the Texans are very high on Foster and he could even open the year as the starter barring injury. Slaton is more talented but has been working with the second team and will be a change-of-pace and 3rd down pass-catcher.

Tate has a lot of catching up to do.

The way I see it is this: Foster will start as the primary "rusher" and Slaton will be in on almost all passing downs. What happens from here is really up to Foster. If he comes out and becomes a maching 5.0 YPC, 100+ yards games, getting those tough yards. He'll stay on as the #1 back.

If he comes out and gets like 3 ypc, struggles on short third downs, you're going to see Tate worked into the mix. And if this is the case, Tate will probably shine better than Foster.

So it really comes down to, what expectations of Foster do you have?

I think I just did the riskiest trade of the century...

Brett Favre
CJ2K
Hines Ward
Tavares Jackson

for

Tom Brady
Moss
Jerome Harrison
James Jones

I don't know if he will accept but either way, God be with me.

Why is Tavares Jackson involved in the deal? Whether #4 plays this or not, he won't even be a quality QB2.

I really don't know why you want to give up Brady, Moss and Harrison either.

So I can get CJ2K.

I have to give up something if I want him. And because I'm a firm believer Favre is coming back I thought it would be good.
If Favre does come back, would you still say its a bad deal. Especially considerin i have no RB's and 3 starting quality WR's.

As for Tavares, he has one of the best WR cores in the league and AP. I plan on him being my number two behind Leinart who is risky but possibly rewarding this season.

Screw it, I canceled it in hopes Supa B actually comes into the league and accepts my trade for Beanie.

Then what, you're #1 guy is Leinhart? There are reports that he's being outperformed by Derek Anderson in camp.

Just because a guy has receivers doesn't make him good. Neither Leinhart or Tarvares are good players.

I said screw it and canceled the trade, meaning Tom brady is still my number 1 guy but my RB's are still terrible (Jerome Harrison and Thomas Jones)

On the bright side I dominate at ever other position mostly WR (Moss, Wayne, and Ocho who should be Crabtree but Yahoo is stupid).

Glad to see we filled that last spot in your league. Hoping for another solid draft in the Yahoo leagues heh. Hopefully landing a star running back. Right now, I'm hoping that Shonn Greene has a solid year, something along the lines of his beast mode at the end of last season, seeing as he's my #1 back.

I'm looking forward to it too. I'm glad I have Brees in your league but still want to go through a draft with my own strategy of waiting at least a few for a QB.

I'd love to land one of the top feature RBs too.

Same here. So far I'm 0 for 3 in getting a draft pick before 8 and have missed out on all the top RBs.

Maybe you'll go 1-4.

Here's some Yahoo articles worth checking out:

Good Reads.

I already know about highlighting tight ends. People still treat tight ends poorly, thinking they should wait until round 6+ to get one. This is not the case anymore. The top 5 TEs are just as good as some of the top receivers. And on top of that, they are always Red Zone Targets. So investing a high pick on a TE is recommended.

We should just create a IDP league. No offense, just IDP. Think it could be fun, probably not as exciting to follow. But it will definitely educate you on all the defenders in the league.

Yep. The TE position is ridiculously deep and the top guys are pretty scary.

I'm down for a IDP league. You want to be the commish?

Guess I should have went with Woodley, since it seems Dumervil went down for the season with an injury.

Karlos Dansby it is.

That sucks for Denver. They just inked him to a big contract last week.

I was thinking that perhaps I should place those who didn't make the draft in a division together, so they have an equal chance to make the playoffs. Yea or nay?

Alright. SupaB, Winnipeg, NgataClue, and The FightingMongooses are all in the western division together. At least one of them is guaranteed a playoff spot now.

I have a question for you guys. I wanted to rank my players, but I have no clue where to start. Are there any guidelines or tips when ranking the players? I failed to rank my players last year in a fantasy draft I did, so I didnt want to miss it this year.
