I'm Officially Done With Summer, C'mon Fall

42 posts in this topic

Is it me or has it been absolutely brutally hot outside? It's not so much the temperature but the humidity. It's currently 85 outside but (according to weather.com) it feels like 98.

Fall, I'm ready. Summer can go now.

It has been sickeningly humid. Not even that hot, just horribly humid. I feel bad for our guys who have to train and practice in this.

Really BLT it isn't that bad over here in Northwestern Ontario, we had a few rainy days that we're bad this past week, but other than that it's been around 75.

FORGET that I love this heat. So nice to be able to go to the park and play basketball and go play some baseball. Winter is just inhuman, it's soooo boring.

I was just in Niagara Falls and Toronto over the weekend... it was very hot there, but not as bad as Baltimore with all of our humidity :P

The last month it has been extremely humid in Central Indiana; that hasn't stopped us die-hard football fans from not playing. As long as your outside, moving with the air blowing on you or in the shade; it isn't too bad. In fact, yesterday, I don't think I sweated at all while I was playing football (or at least not noticeably) but as soon as we headed for the bleachers (after my team got pummeled, 35-7 (we don't play FGs)) it took about five minutes before it was like someone dumped a bucket of salt water over my head.

It's crazy out there, but I'm not going to stop playing ball until I collapse.

PS: As it sits, I'm 2-2 on our season.

I'd complain about it being ridiculously hot, and humid...... but I live in FL
1) it's always ridiculously hot & humid
2) I'm used to it

I'm looking forward to fall... but for a much different reason then weather...

(and if it really does feel that bad... go swimming)

Give me this kind of weather all year long -- I love the heat!!! I much prefer it to the cold...even at relative extremes like this. :)

Strangely enough, the thing I love about the heat is sweating, mainly because it makes me feel like I'm doing something.

Houston was worse, but Gulf Coast FL is very humid. A pool is a must.

........My AC is broken too. Driving to work sucks.

For all the complaints people have, I love Florida. :shark:

Since 96'. I'm more than likely moving to Chicago fall next year to start my residency, so I DEFINITELY look forward to that. My family has a summer home in Hillsboro Beach FL and the heat in Florida has never really bothered me. Then again we're right on the beach so you get a nice breeze.

I used to hate the heat and humidity until we got a pool.
Now that, and Corona Light, make summer quite tolerable. ;)

At least you have AC. It gets hot and humid here in Wisconsin too. Only for two months though.

Chicago gets pretty humid too.
I will say this about Chicago. I was there for a week one winter and it was the coldest I have ever felt in my life. I have spent more than a few winters in Minnisota and North Dakota, as well as ice fishing trips to Lake Simco Canada. That wind coming across the lakes is the most bitter harsh cold I have ever felt in my life.

So, enjoy :)

It's just human nature about complaining, in the Winter everyone talks about how much they miss summer, it's the start of JUNE and people are already wanting the fall.
