I'll give it a rent first, it's been delayed so much that I can't in good faith run out and buy it without trying it first. Regardless though, I've been looking forward to it. I love Bioware games (said as I play Mass Effect 2).

From the handful of reviews that have come out so far, the general consensus is that it's an ambitious game but falls short of being an average-to-good game. The biggest gripes seem to be technical problems, such as random load times and bugginess. Other gripes include an overemphasis of stats over skill (you can have a guy in your crosshairs perfectly and still miss because your accuracy stat is too low) and a lack of a cohesive storyline. The dialogue also seems to be flawed, and the missions are all vanilla.

I'll rent it to give it a try since I've been tracking this game from his early inception in late 2008, but I doubt I'll end up buying it unless it's $10-$15 in the clearance bin in a few months. It's a great concept and every reviewer seems to agree in that regard, but it also looks like it was a rushed product. You can tell just from the animations in the trailers.
