If it is one player I can bring in - I want to bring in the one guy that petrifies me! I cannot fathom beating this guy although I would derive joy that would compete with my son's birth in beating him! I suppose you guessed who I am talking about - Peyton Manning of course. Yeah I know Joe Cool is our QB of the fututer but are you kidding me? With Manning at the helm with the rest of our offensive starters and our D - it is Superbowl every year folks! I cannot even fathom another team competing with us let alone beating us.
However I would like to caveat this entire earlier paragraph with " I am still whacko for Flacco"!

But to be fair, as good as Manning is and as much as he makes his teammates around him better, he is still a choke artist in the postseason. This past Super Bowl only cemented that. Sure, his legacy as one of the greatest of all time is virtually unquestioned with his regular season accolades -- but he almost always cools down as the postseason wears on. Though 31 other teams will always end up disappointed while the Super Bowl Champions are the only team that will be truly satisfied, Manning's level of play is so high that he has no excuse to have won only ONE ring in his career thus far while some of his contemporaries have won multiple titles.

Leader of the Decepticons. Haven't you seen the movie?

:P
The movie was a travesty. Looked like a bunch of Ginsu knives flying around when they transformed. Give me the blocky transformers back!

Being a more defensive minded guy I would either be bringing Asomugha or Polamalu. Since we have Ray I feel I should make this team COMPLETE by adding THE BEST CB in the league in Nnamdi Asomugha. If we didn't have Ray for whatever reason I would be all over P.Willis.

Jared Allen would have absolutely no effectiveness in this Defense, people that have been picking him are only picking him because of his sack numbers over the past few years.

I'd have to take Manning. QB has the most profound effect on the game and I know we're set at QB but no one's better than manning. A close second would be Troy P. Not only would be have a safety combo for the ages, we'd have stolen the heart of the Steelers.

To fill a need I would without a doubt take Darrelle Revis because CB is our only real need and He's younger than the selct few who rival him at the position (Woodson and Asoumgha). In general best player including youth, leadership, work ethic, etc. I'd definitely take TIM TEBOW!!!

Lol, no probably Willis or I'd Consider Megatron and Chris Johnson.

i wonder that nobody is talking about that running back of the titans!!!
that only shows me how much we all like our little baby ray!!!!
but to be fair: i would take him an make them a real three headed monster (completed with mcclain)

revis and willis are my favourites for the defensive side though..

haha. Tim Tebow lol. I wish the Broncos would draft me. I work hard and I'm nice. Doesn't matter I have sub par talent at qb. Oo well, maybe next year.

@flynismo: i was very suprised that you picked megatron....lol
Really? Shouldn't be a surprise to some of the senior members here though...I used to complain all the time about how we need to bench Clayton and trade for Boldin. Wanted a top WR something fierce.
Who did you think I would pick?

I'd bring in Patrick Willis, for obvious reasons.
Yeah, Willis would be a good pick-up ^_^

so you'd take Megaton over Andre Johnson? why?

Megatron has a better nickname. Not the best of reasons but I'm sticking with my guns. In all seriousness I don't know who I would pick over those two.

Why not? He younger, bigger, just as fast, as good or better hands, better after the catch, and so far has not proven to be a money grubbin' crybaby, a la AJ.

Andre is one of the most reliable, producing recievers in the game and is getting paid Derrick Mason money. He isn't crying at all. He is even showing up to practices and OTAs.

Not going to get into all that, but I'm saying taking Megatron over AJ isn't a bad decision, which appears to me was the implication.
It's a win-win situation, you cant make a wrong decision if you choose either one. I just think Megatron is a better choice.

Fly is right.... AJ may be better atm, but Calvin definately has more upside. Whether or not he achieves his full potential remains to be seen. I am an Andre Johnson fan, for sure so am biased.

The kid is basically a WR in a TE's body. He is massive for a WR, he's something like 6'5 240 but he has the skill and speed to match(if not top) any wideout in the league.

Yeah, it took a few years and the aqcuisition of a real QB before AJ truly made it big too.
with Stafford having a full season under his belt, this may be Megatron's year.

Let's say you're the new GM of the Ravens...

You have a shot to bring in one player, any player you want, to the Ravens team. Money, current contract, salary caps, Final 8 rules... ect. do not affect this decision. The only rules to your choices are that the player must currently play in the NFL and is not already a Raven.

Who do you think plays like a Raven?? Who is the one player you think would gaurentee us a Super Bowl victory this year? (even though it's gonna happen regardless haha).

MAKE YOUR PICK! and please explain why so discussion can develop, do not just list a name
Give me Andre Johnson, Darrelle Revis and I'll give you 3+ Super Bowls in a decade.

If I were GM, I would trade Flacco for Asomugha. Then make myself the new quarterback.
Well, I would wave my magic stick
1) once - and I would become a Pro Bowl QB myself, therefore you would have to be my backup
2) twice - and I would make Jonathan Ogden 10 years younger
at Left Tackle and protecting my blind side
3) 3 times - and then I would bring back Deion "Prime-Time" Sanders and made him 20 years younger
And then I would start-up the Superbowl Bandwagon :229031_thewave:
