Three men arrested trying to break into Heinz Field
Last week, a pair of bullets damaged the exterior of Lambeau Field. This week, a pair of men got on the inside of another NFL stadium.

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports that a trio of twentysomethings were arrested after two of them scaled a gate at Heinz Field via the construction of a "human ladder."

Two men, Shazad Hosi Mehta, 28, and Noshir Medhora, 27, were detained at gunpoint after getting into the facility. Adil A. Minocherhomjee, 22, did not enter Heinz Field. The men were charged with criminal trespass and conspiracy to commit criminal trespass.

They claimed they were looking for a wallet they had left at a game. In December.

"The story's not credible," Sgt. Patrick Knepp told the Post-Gazette.

It's not the first time this has occurred. In November 2006, two Carnegie Mellon students were charged with attempting to get into Heinz Field. One claimed that they had tickets for an upcoming game, and that they wanted to see where their seats would be. The other claimed they were going to shoot a music video.

They should have said that they'd lost their wallets.

Here's their pictures... http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/10144/1060350-53.stm

We all know they weren't looking for a wallet. So what were they really doing (or planning).

Yeah, umm, not to profile or anything, but that's seriously sketchy and actually quite frightening. I shutter to think what they were planning/really trying to do. Hopefully the police can get some background info. on these guys. I don't like it one bit. 70,000+ people in an enclosed space like a football stadium=prime target.

Naturally ;)

All I know is they better be on super high alert at the New Meadowlands Stadium in New York/New Jersey.

I hate to racially profile... but when I see 3 middle eastern looking men trying to break in to a major sporting event venue... yeah. I can't help but think terrorist activity.

Riiiiiiight, sure, taking pictures for sentimental value, not for tactical purposes at all... this smells. Bad.

I agree with what some are saying of this. It does sound and look suspicious, and it is my hope that there will be an investigation of this whole affair.

While I have to agree it looks extremely suspicious, there is a good possibility that last guy is a Jeff Reed fan.

In all seriousness though, they're kind of clumsy. So either they're free-lancers, so to speak, or part of a string of bumbling attempts to create a false sense of security.

Whatever the case may be, it still doesn't give me the warm and fuzzy.

always freaks me out to think an attack could happen at something like a sporting event not only to those there but the fear it would instill on the people watching live,I hope it wasn't more then stupidity but it seems like they were scoping the place

or you know... they just forgot their wallet...

the thing that doesn't really make too much sense to me.... if it really is in fact a terrorist plot.... why would they target an "open" stadium... versus a dome?

going off the assumption they have equal security.... you'd think they could do more collateral damage from a dome, then an unroofed stadium

I'm not an architect or a structural engineer, so I won't begin to make assumptions on how stadiums are structually. But you would think that maybe they were just trying to gather that sort of information/scout the place out during the off season when they figure security would be at it's lightest.

I know the entire incident does not pass the "smell test". Something is going on.
I would scale the fence at Heinz field just to take a dump at center field! Now that would not pass the smell test. :229031_rofl:

On the serious note this is very strange and could have been a test to see how tight security is there for a later event.
