Favorite Concerts

24 posts in this topic

Well, I went to see Arcanium, Airbourne, Chidos, and of course Bullet For My Valentine in concert last night at The Pageant and it was AMAZING! And easily my favorite concert I've ever been too. So, I just thought I'd create a thread and ask you what your guys favorite concerts where?

Blues Traveler, at any time.

I absolutely love Blues Traveler, John is such a powerful performer live-even better now that he's lost a few pounds!

I saw Metallica last october.
still want to see iron maiden

Metallica easily the best live band that I've seen. I've seen them pretty much every time that they have been between Philadelphia and D.C. My favorite show is either of the Sanitarium Tour shows at M&T Bank Stadium. The first one was Metallica with System of a Down, Powerman 5000,Kid Rock(gave me a chance to go get hydrated without missing anything), and Korn.

I'm not really a huge SOAD fan, but Powerman 5000 had more energy than any of the bands there (except Metallica) not sure how Kid Rock got on that tour, but like I said atleast it was a chance to go get some H20 (it was over 100 degrees that day)

was at that show,I don't know I thought Korn was pretty energetic up there,it was my last night living in Baltimore,I thought SOTD sound was off because they sounded horrid.Powerman did a great set and Rock's wasn't bad,by the time Korn and Metallica were over think I had lost 7 lbs from the heat and the pit near the stage.
My first concert was Guns N Roses,Faith No More and Metallica so that stands out,(been too so many)
weirdest was definitly King Diamond's Puppetmaster tour, and I enjoyed Motorhead when I saw them last year.Getting ready for Korn,Rob Zombie and 5 Finger Death Punch in August.

I haven't been to one in a few years, but Breaking Ben & Three Days Grace at Merriweather was awesome. I miss the HFSetivals, the 2 day deals at RFK. Jay-Z headlined one a while back which was great

Kanye West was the best. His concerts are so unique.

Does he run up and grab the microphone from teenage girls at the start of each one?

In 2007, I attended a Reverend Horton Heat concert, and he and his crew rock live.

Maximum rockabilly stylings for all!

Yep, then they finally become famous because everyone feels bad for them. Only way Swift became known.

Been to a billion shows by now. I cannot narrow down just one favorite; best I can do is two favorites:

U2 in Miami in 1992.

Metallica at Giants Stadium in 2004 (Summer Sanitarium). Seen them six times and that show was the best.

Honorable mention: The original Black Sabbath at Ozzfest in 2003.

Wow. I remember seeing the billboard for that place from I-95! Always wanted to go check that place out. I'm sure my friends bands had played there back in the 90's.

If you like being sardined and beer spilled all over you it was the place to be--great concerts though. I also saw KiX there too, which was a local band.

Trust me, they were all like that back then.

The one band I saw and could care less about, and who was on a stage about 4 1/2" off the ground was the Goo Goo Dolls. Always thought that was funny.

We had a bunch of places around here including the Stone Pony. L'amours in Brooklyn used to pack 'em in though.

Place I used to frequent (in the mid-late 90's though), that had been there for generations was the Tradewinds in Seabright, NJ. Only big act I saw there was Billy Idol. I went because they had 11 bars (inside and out) a pool, hot tub and well, that's were everyone went. lol

They tore it down for condos a few years ago; broke my heart.

It was on the beach too:
