Cowboys always choke in the playoffs, GB has no defense , Vikings with Favre possibly but then again Favre always throws crucial INT's in the NFCCG.....so New Orleans it is

Uh.... what? Green Bay finished 7th in points allowed, 2nd in total yards allowed, 5th in passing yards allowed, and 1st in rushing yards allowed. They have no defense, eh?

I'm going to say the Saints because they have the easier road to the Super Bowl. The Cowboys division is ridiculous. Green Bay or Minnesota wouldn't surprise me.

Uh, did u watch GB in the playoffs last season vs AZ? 51 points???? thats defense? Drew Brees would slap a 60 point burger on GB

So one game in the PLAYOFFS to an offensive minded teams renders their stalwart defensive nullified for their previous 16 games? Every team has a bad game, even stellar teams. C'mon man. Get real.

IN THE PLAYOFFS you only get ONE chance........so yes it does nullify the previous 16 regular season games......How important was it to have the 7th ranked defense against AZ that day? NOT AT ALL......the RAVENS had NEVER beating NE, how much did that matter when we thrashed them in the playoffs????? none!

No, it does not nullify the previous sixteen games. That is a silly point of view. They have the same team this year as they did last. They were a force on the defensive side of the ball last year, they will be again this year, probably in the top 5 of each defensive category again. Open your eyes, seriously.

Your likening a top 5 defense having a bad game to the Ravens beating a team they've never beaten does not work.

What im saying is u can throw stats out the window when it comes down to a one-and-done situation.....what dont you understand? ur always trying to counter something i say, what problem do you have with me? Anyway you'll be eating humble pie anyway when u see GB not make it and Terence Cody turn out to be a good solid pick for us....

I'm perfectly correct in my comments. You're trying to disprove 16 games worth of stats with one showing. That does not work, it doesn't. So the Packers had a bad game in defense (the very same game their offense put up 45 points, so don't act like it was a one sided game. It was not), teams have their off days. Hell, some teams choke in the playoffs. It happens. That doesn't mean they don't have any defense, because it's right there for sixteen games. Oh yeah, let's not mention their top ten offense as well. You honestly think they can't make it?

Get over the whole Cody thing. I'm sick of it, have you read what I've said? I said (countless times, go find the draft grade topic, it's right there) Cody has the POTENTIAL to be a great nose tackle, but right not he is not. He doesn't have the stamina to play every down, he doesn't have the strength to consistently demand doubles and collapse the pockets (especially against teams with top notch offensive lines), he's a pure run stuffer right now. Give him a few to get his weight down (and keep it down) and pile on the strength and he could turn out to be a great pick. But, as I've said, right this minute, he isn't that special. Get over it, I can't see why you're so offended with what I said a month ago almost that you're still bringing it up. Stop taking it personally when I disagree with you, it's nothing with you. I'm disagreeing with your statements that you're passing off as fact.

I'm more correct than someone who thinks one bad showing in the playoffs means a team has no defense. Minnesota, a stellar defensive and offensive team, score only 7 points against Carolina. Meanwhile, Carolina put up 26 points, Jonathan Stewart ran for 109 yards (Minnesota was the 2nd in the league against the rush), and Matt Moore threw for 299 Yards and 3 touchdowns. Does that mean Minnesota has no defense? No. It was a bad game.

The Jets, number one nearly across the board, lost to the Jaguars' lackluster defense. Garrad threw for 221 yards and a touchdown. Jones- Drew ran for 123 yards and a touchdown. Wildcard Weekend, Cedric Benson ran for 169 yards on the number one defense. Divisional Round, Rivers threw for 298 Yards and a touchdown, while Jackson had 111 yards. Conference Round, Manning threw for 377 yards and three touchdowns, Addai ran for 80 yards, and both Collie and Garcon went over the century mark in receiving yards. All of that was on the number one defense in the league. None of their playoff games were very dominating on the defensive side of the ball. By your logic, that would mean the Jets do not have a defense.

With that said,
the Packers or the Saints should make the Superbowl from the NFC. Minnesota has a chance but if Favre is gone, then they're chance dwindle.

I feel weird predicting we are going to make a Superbowl before the season even starts.

We need to calm down because we are going to be very disappointed if we don't make the Superbowl this year. It's fine to hyped for the season but predicting we are going to win a Superbowl just because we got stronger means nothing.

Bengals got a lot stronger on offense with the signing of Bryant and drafting Gresham. They also drafted a CB with potential when they already have a nice CB duo. Not to mention they were ranked Number 4 in total defense last year. They have a potential Superbowl team if Palmer stays consistent.

Jets got nothing but stronger on the defensive side so we better pray Mark Sanchez really does suck or we might be seeing a Superbowl team in them.

Colts are always the Colts.

Patriots are still a Superbowl team.

Chargers have a Superbowl team but just need to execute.

To just flat out say the Ravens are making the Superbowl is a bold statement.

Chargers are always on the verge of the Super Bowl, but they always fall just short. Not that I find them any less dangerous, they're definitely a playoff caliber team. The Bengals have yet to prove they can put up consistent winning seasons, and Palmer is always liable to get injured. If Palmer goes down, who's their next man up? O'Sullivan? Jordan Palmer? Maybe even Russell if they do sign him. The Chargers, Jets, Colts, and Ravens have the three best chances, and the Jets are only up their due to their suffocating defense, Sanchez can't carry the team (and I'm not sold that Greene is ready to carry the load, not with old man LT behind him). The Colts and Chargers are definitely the teams to be concerned with, especially the Chargers with their tall receivers and our smaller defensive backs.

That was my SB pick last preseason!
i picked us to win it, I think my score prediction was 27-13, us.

This year; well it's hard to argue against us or the defending champs making the trip.

I just want to second this except the New England part. I'd bet money they don't even make the playoffs!

I'll pick the Packers because if Favre doesn't come back they'll sweep that division and probably have the #2 seed.

Packers. Great D, wildcard match up was a bad day. Great O too, most complete team in the NFC is you ask me. Vikings have a shot if Favre is back and stays healthy.
Saints are good, but everyone's gonna be gunning for them, and while their d is good enough to make plays when needed, they aren't stellar.
