Why Frank Walker Cant Be Brought Back

14 posts in this topic

NFL highlights Baltimore Ravens 20-23 Pittsburgh Steelers 2009 week 16: type this in youtube(sorry idk how to get direct links). this video shows why Frank Walker cant be brought back

also it shows why cousins cant start. he got <burned> by lamarr woodley on back to back plays that was very costly in the game.

it also shows why zibby got to get a chance at playing punt returner

I agree wholeheartedly with your final statement but sadly, it doesn't appear as if the team fancies Zibby a punt returner in the NFL.

To your other points though, one video can't be the sole reason Frank won't be brought back or Cousins can't start. I could easily post the video of Frank leveling Ben Watson or bring up the fact that neither Sam Aiken or Pierre Garcon did anything against Walker.

With that said, I don't think Frank will be brought back unless someone gets hurt during the year. Travis Fisher should perform well in next week's mini-camp and will probably be signed.

As for Cousins, this belief that the player we saw in Pittsburgh is who he will always be makes no sense. Young NFL players, especially the ones on good teams with quality coaching staffs, improve. Cousins is raw but has the physical tools to become a solid player.

i can see why you defended Cousins. but CB are suppose to be better cover guys then they are tacklers. and walker cant cover

As for Cousins, I also don't think that the Pittsburgh game should be the final judgement on Cousins. Like ED20 said, Cousins is still very young. Add to the fact that he was going up against Lamarr Woodley, who can school even veteran tackles. So I don't think it's a fair judgement of his skills. Although the play where he kept shoving and pushing that dude after the whistle for like 5 more yards was all him.

And cover Walker did in the play-offs. I'm not denying the guy's penalties cost the team big during the regular season but as fans, why can't we look at the whole picture?

He won't be brought back because the Ravens don't want to have a reputation for committing penalties. Once you have a reputation it becomes self fulfilling.

Walker played horrible regular season football, but played stellar post-season football. Although I'd rather cut down on the penalties all around, so I'm not too saddened that he won't return.

I think if we make Frank "the Tank" to wear winter gloves every time he steps on the field, that way he can't hold the WR's - he would be great! And someone please tell him you can't keep bumping after 5 yards - he would be outstanding! :229031_rofl:

Why did you show me this video again? It restores my anger about us being jobbed. Only the Ravens would get TWO TD's called back on phantom block in the back and holding calls. :(

But Frank Walker did play like a certified fraud in that game as well. Lord have all types of mercy, haha.

one thing you have to give frank if he knew he was going to give up a TD he got the flag an sometimes the end result was better because we gave up 3 instead of 7 but it was still very frustrating none the less. atleast he didnt do like washington an carr an get beat fall down an get a flag in the same play.

the thing is its not about the pentaties. its about not catching or hitting the ball down when its just floating in the air
