Poor Grubbs.... Linemen are always the unsung heroes! With that said, I voted for Figurs being rookie of the year and Smith having the most potential! But I feel for ya, Grubbs.

Voted Grubbs on both counts. He helped McGahee have a great year, and will hopefully be plowing enemy linebackers for the next decade.

Ben Grubbs it's tough being thrown into the offensive line rookie year. Especially when you have a lot of unexpierence around you at times as well.

Yamon Figurs. With the speed he has. He will be running the deep routes soon enough

RoY: Grubbs

Potential: T-Smizzle

I feel the ppl who vote for Figurs as RoY forgot his 3-4 game fumble problem where he averaged 1.5 fumbles per game.

How soon you all forgot Le'Ron McClain. Maybe it's because he was so good you forgot he was a rookie. Do you think McGahee got all those yards without help?

yeah Le'Ron would be my top pick he paved the way for McGahee with some big blocks. I'm stuck on the most potential all these guys I believe have great potential.

Firstly I voted smith, because without him I would have prefered us to forfeit the last several games just to save the embarassment.

Secondly barnes, because of his sheer athleticism (and that uber-hit he put on that eagles punter, If he could do that to a QB once in a while, we'd be in business!)

As for the fumbles, we're voting for a rookie, I don't expect perfection... yet.

A person doesn't get RotY votes when they substantially aid in costing us games.

What about Grubbs for potential, I mean he was a great rookie lineman, and is really young. With help he will be a great Olineman.

I saig Grubbs and Smith but I am little disappointed that Yanda wasnt on there. He and Grubbs did a great job on the right side of that line opening up wholes for McGahee and pass protecting. When a blitz came and got to the QB it came off of Ogden or Flynn most of the time. Remember how J.Lew loved to run behind Mulatalo and Ogden on the left side. The right side of the line will be like that soon.

Yamon also put us in position to win games. His big run backs were the lone reasons that we had a chance to win almost every game that we lost. So, he had some fumble problems. Well, So did Ed Reed, as much as I love him. At least Figurs fumbles can be seen as rookie jitters, which I believe it was because toward the end of the season he was fine.

yeah It looks like it could be like that. I do remember a bunch times the right side gave him some big holes this yr, it should only get better in the future.

I thought Grubbs played pretty awesome..being thrown in as a rookie like that is tough on the line and he played so well for only a rookie.

Le'ron was def RoY, workhorse ethic, toughness, and raw talent. I'm sure Willis would agree with me. I think Yamon has the most potential, he could be a huge offensive weapon next year and is a great replacement should we not keep BJ as return guy. McClain is already playing at a high level and has about as much room to improve as Mcgahee or Suggs does.

I'm pretty happy that this is even a conversation. That such a percentage of our rookies did well is a very good thing.

Gives us all kinds of hope for the future.

the rookie with the potential?????? well i think ALL the rookies of this past season can be regarded as having the MOST potential, because they are all a group of GOOD and Gifted/talented athletes in which has shown great progress at their particular position.....all of which will/are vital and key elements in how we will shape up to be in the near and far future years down the road. Having a Great Group of young talented Athletes such as this, can only mean one thing....success, that is..IF they are willing to accept that particular challenge and have that sort of powerful commitment.

All Rookies from this past season have the ut most thrill of being called A Baltimore Raven and in doing so have shown the rest of the team and the coaches and the Fans that are proud to be called/a member of this wonderful team that we call own own and welcome with open arms into our homes each and every single sunday, or whenever game day maybe....its the rookies of today that make the game exciting to watch, and see them progress through the challenges that are openly thrown in their direction. Its what drives them to propel's them to go above and beyond trying to seperate themselves from the rest of the pack and the others...in the aspect of the competition i mean, their opponents not seperate themselves from their own teammates.

ultimately creating the Future of tomorrow and the Unique Quality of the Sweet sweet game we have come to Love and Chersih more so than other sports out there today.....Football is life and its great to see how these young players take/handle each and every situation in their own special way and find a way to improve upon and make things better for the whole team and organization.....

i say again......the Future looks bright for our young stars of tomorrow...and in doing so....the Future brings forth more and more challenges for our athletes to overcome....and it'll be what makes us proud to call the younger players on this team....as members of the Baltimore Ravens

Raven07 once again with a great post. All of our rookies played their hearts out and got some valuable minutes in which to showcase what they can do. I was dissappointed by none of them and look foward to their next few years under Cameron and Harbaugh.

I love our rookies! I was impressed by McClain, Figurs, Barnes, and Grubbs especially. Barnes will become a great sack machine. We have so much great potential.
