Least Memorable Ravens Moments......

54 posts in this topic

1) Joe Flaccos' INT against the Colts when we were driving for the potential game winning FG/TD.....

2) Steve Hauschkas' miss FG att to give us the huge come from behind win against Favre and the Vikings.....

3) Rex Ryan calling a timeout right b4 we stopped Tom Brady on a fourth-and-one which wouldve gave them their first loss of the season..

4) Roughing the passer call on Terrell Suggs against Kerry Collins and the Titans, ( call extended the drive which ended in the game winning score for the Titans )

5) Santonio Holmes' TD where he somehow supposedly crossed the goal line before getting popped by Ed Reed...

6) Mark Claytons' dropped catch on fourth down against the Pats, ball hit him right in the chest which wouldve resulted in a first down and gave us a chance for the end zone for the win........

7) Derrick Mason lets a sure fire TD pass after a beautiful double move bounce right off his facemask against the Steelers. Ravens wind up losing 23-20

8) Ed Reed picking off Peyton Manning in the playoffs only to fumble it away and give it right back to Peyton and company....

9) Cleveland FG bounces off the crossbar and does go over for a legal FG but refs say no good both teams shake hands and go to the locker rooms assuming the game is over only to be told the play was reviewed ( which is against the rules ) and that the game must continue into OT. Ravens wind up losing OT........

10) Todd Heap makes a beautiful TD grab in the back off the end zone for the win in Cincinnati only to get a BOGUS offensive PI call on him...Boller goes back to Heap for the TD on the same drive but ball gets deflected in the air and picked off in the end zone.....Ravens lose

2, 5, & 6 all stick out in my mind, the worst probably being Santonio's catch. Every one but Steelers' fans knew that ball did not cross the plain...

I have selective memory and block out the pain lol
Seriously losing that playoff game in 2007 had to be one of the Worst.

My least memorable Ravens moment was when I saw J.O. dancing with those girls in that Gebco commercial.

Mine was the year after the Ravens won the Super Bowl, they played Cleveland at Cleveland Browns Stadium and lost big time to the Browns. Elvis Grbec was the Ravens QB at the time and he was pulled a bit too late in the game for Randall Cunningham. I sat in the Dawg Pound with another Ravens fan who left with 5:00 left in the 4th quarter and I had to leave after that for fears of my safety. The city of Cleveland was acting like they won the Super Bowl after that game.

Losing to the Dolphins easily takes the cake for me. It was the toughest day to be a Raven fan.

Although that Monday Night whooping we received from the Steelers in 2007 is second.

Needless to say, 2007 was a horrible year.

When Billick lost the game to the Dolphins to give them their only win of the season. Too many dumb Billick calls in that game to point out!

Man- that still peeves me!

God. I was there too. Of course, standing right behind the field goal we missed near the end. We were in the nose-bleeds and a guy near me tore his jersey off and threw it over the edge to the parking lot below. So many Ravens fans doing the walk of shame back to our cars. Saw a lot of Moons as we drove away.

the haushka missed fg against the vikings def is mine...i was never EVER a fan of haushka bc i watched him miss fgs the season before and in preseason..it hurt so much because flacco and rice TOREEEE up their D in the second half and all we needed was a 44 yard fg, in a dome to complete one of the greatest comebacks in history...i wanted to throw my tv out the window when it went wide

Ill stay recent.

Rex's beyond stupid defensive call of spying Mewedle Moore with Ngata in overtime in week 4 in 2008...Ngata is athletic...but seriously Rex.

Darren Stone.AFC Championship Game.Game changing penalty. Enough said.

Flaccos Int against the Colts in the regular season because I was at that game (first ever)

Ravens vs Lions in 2005. The Harrington incomplete pass that was somehow ruled a fumble. That was the BS call that started the entire meltdown.

My best friend is a die hard Phins fan - I still hear about that game from time to time.

I'm trying to forget that the 2007 season existed, though it would be the catalyst that gave us Flacco and Harbaugh.

The lions game in 2005 was pretty bad. Not sure if that was the one that suggs got thrown out of. Recently, I have to say the loses to the Steelers in 2008, with Big ben leading game winning drives was real bad.

I'm surprised no one mentioned the Kordell Stewart to Bobby Shaw TD pass. That was the longest the Ravens have ever given up (you had us backed up near/in our own end zone).

I think its ironic that most of the least favorite memories are from a Ref's bad call... Its like the Ref's are always calling ghost flags against us or marking the ball favorable to the OTHER team if we're in a close game. Anyone think that we may have a few Ref's in the Nfl that gamble on the games??

My LEAST Favorite moment was when we got beat by the Colts in the 07 Playoffs. I thought we were gonna win the Super Bowl, but our lack of a 3rd reciever killed us from scoring TD's.

My second least favorite was when we got beat by OUR mistakes when we went against the 07 Pats. We could've and should've made history that night.

My third least favorite moment was the entire 2007 year. Wasn't that the year when we got beat by the Colts by close to 30 points?? If so, then the 07 year is my second least favorite memory.

The False start after the timeout Rex Ryan called on 4th & 1... which gave the patriots the option to throw.... which lead to a TD

The Bart Scott throwing the flag for unsportsman like conduct penalty

Kyle Boller to Clayton (I think) just short for the TD which would have won or tied us the game (don't remember)

The least favorite moment was when Jo announced his retirement. We really didn't know in which direction at that point the team was heading with the firing of Billick and all.
