i believe that Fisher will find some new life with the Ravens! and obviously, the front office and coaches see something in him that they like.

For the past two years we have seen sub par performance from Walker during the regular season. Once the playoffs kicked in he seemed to step up his play. Its great to have a player step up for the all important games. The downside to Walker was his inability to cover without putting his hands all over the reciever during the regular season.

I would prefer that we sign Fisher in place of Walker. I believe he will provide solid depth throughout the entire season. I would rather have consistancy the entire year than a above average performance at the end. Penalties and miscues could definately hinder our chances of winning important games throughout the year. I dont know how many times I felt like blowing a gasket when watching Walker try and cover.

I just hope that, if we do sign Fisher, he turns out to be a consistant, productive and reliable corner. Once Webb and Washington are back to at least 85 to 90%, Fisher should be a breath of fresh air over the play we have been accustom to from Walker and even Carr.

The problem last year was not with the DBs. It was with the pass rush and I firmly believe that Ozzie knows this. Very hard for DBs to run with any WRs for extended lengths of times. Every game I watched opposing QBs standing there for eternity periods of time and no pass rush. If they stood for that long than our DBs were at least covering for that long. Sooner or later, someone gets open. Ozzie takes the best available and it is a philosophy hard to argue with. You will see better play from any corner we put on the field because we have greatly improved our pass rush. Suggs will be much improved. Cody and Naghta will eat up everything in the middle, freeing up linebackers to roam, rush etc, etc etc. You will see a better Ray Lewis(who is chomping at the bit and will look 5 years younger). Our defense was top ten last season and will be even better this year.

Webb and Fabe will be back guys. We just need bodies for training camp and depth. My only worry is if they come back a little shell shocked and it changes the way they play because they are scared of re injury.

I now believe that we have solid corner depth going into the season. We have Foxworth who came on strong at the end of last year, Cary Williams is impressive so far, Webb and Washington coming back from injuries. This is why we never doubt Ozzie, when we are screaming for a top corner, and he passes on Kyle Wilson which caused us to scream even more, he had a plan all along. He knew Washington and Webb were recovering ahead of schedule, he knew that we could find someone in Free Agency to add depth. Look at last year, everyone was wanting Nicks, Britt, Boldin, Marshall and he brought in Kelly Washington, which worked out pretty well. I am just so excited about this season.... IN OZZIE WE TRUST!

Aside from the excruciating games against the Vikings and Chargers last season I don't think our secondary really deserves most of the criticism it has received. CB is definitely our weakest position right now but that's more due to injuries and inexperience than lack of talent.

I've become a big fan of Foxworth, besides a couple bad games early on he's played very well IMO. This was his first year with the defense and I think he'll keep improving. From what I've heard he's a great guy and a good leader for our young CBs. He's a little bit overpaid, but the Ravens are very financially sound so I don't think it's as big an issue as people believe.

Fabian has shown tremendous ability, he had a terrible season but he might be able to turn it around again next year. Chris Carr gets soooo much more **** than he deserves. He was never supposed to be a #2 corner but he played his heart out for us and performed admirably considering the situation.

Webb is my favorite corner of this group, he's extremely physical and good in coverage. He needs to work on his hands so he can start making more interceptions. But other than that I can see him being a top corner in a few years.

The other guys (Fisher, Cary) I'll reserve judgment on until I see them in action. But at least its depth.

As expected Ravens signed Travis Fisher. I'm glad the Front Office is addressing the depth at the cornerback position. Good and wise move - Fisher may not be what some fans hoped for, but he adds depth, value and experience to the secondary. So, now we might have interesting scenario of competing for the starting spot at CB 2 at the start of the season ???
CB 1 - D.Foxworth
CB 2 - * F.Washington
- * L.Webb
- C.Carr
- C.Williams
- T.Fisher

* recovering from injury at this time
