We don't need a coach who, after comming here, will fall flat on his face because he can't evaluate talent. Look at all the successful coaches. Not only are they good strategists but also good evaluaters of talent. the best coaches alwys, somehow get the best talent. Point in case: Bobby Beathard got the best talent for the Redskins so Joe Gibbs was a winner. Beathard also did it in Miami with Joe Thomas. Mike Martz, Norm Chow, Bobby Ross are all good at selecting offensive people. Bill Bellicheck, Buddy Ryan & Foge Fazio; defensive talent. Any good coach can win big with the players that are picked by the coaches & managers I just mentioned.

Ozzie Newsome and the scouting crew have always been good at getting talent...and for many years now we have had great defensive coaches, with Ray Lewis as on field leader.

What we DO lack is an offensive leader, with a strong guy at QB. Maybe we have found the QB in Troy Smith. As to whether Garrett is the Offensive mind or not is still a little early to tell, him with only 3 years in yet. It might be worth the chance, but it is still a chance.

We, overall, have the young talent to begin winning right away, and with a few key aquisitions in the draft can get some depth at O line, DE/LB, CB, and possibly QB.
