JaMarcus Russell Released by Raiders

I've actually heard of some Buffalo fans talking about picking him up. Russell is the last thing they need at quarterback... especially with that offensive line and him weighing 300 pounds.

He could be a good quarterback if you put a different head on his shoulders. Guy actually looked very good against us filling in last year until Antwan Barnes stripped him and Dannell picked him off. You saw his beastly arm and, actually, great accuracy when he has a second in the pocket.

Guy's a lazy bum who doesn't want to work physically or mentally to get prepared whatsoever, though. That's one position you can't be lazy at and have a chance of making it.

It will be interesting to see which team gives him a shot at redemption. The skill is there, it's just dormant.

NFL.com is saying both Cincinnati and New England are two possible landing spots for Russell.

Could you imagine NE going from Golden Boy, GQ star Tom Brady to.... Jabba the Russel?

JaMarcus in NE would truly be epic.

Cincy appears to be a more likely destination considering the organization's obsession with "reforming" troubled talent.

Seems our buddies the Bengals have been in talks with Russell's agent. Ochocinco apparently tweeted Russell saying he'll see him at the Bengals minicamp in June. How amusing would it be to see JaMarcus Russell stepping in to fill Palmer's shoes if he should go down with one of his plethora of injuries he seems to get every few years:
