Here's some phrases Russell should memorize:

"Paper or plastic?"

"Would you like to make that a supersize?"

"How would you like your steak prepared?"

"No, ma'am, I delivered your paper this morning."

"Welcome to Wal-Mart."

I've never been so happy to see someone lose their job.

I realize that sounds horrible...but it's JaMarcus Russell.

I feel the same way, Franny. But only because he brought this on himself.

I have to agree with that. All he really had to do was stay in shape and learn the playbook. Anyone too lazy to do that does not belong in the NFL.

Normally, I'd say something along the lines of not being happy that you have Campbell as your quarterback. But when you've gone from Russell to a revolving door of whoever's on the roster and can throw the ball, Jason Campbell doesn't seem half bad

Jason Campbell's a good quarterback and a classy guy, it's not his fault the Redskins gave him nothing to work with.

As for Jamarcus Russel I don't think he's crying. He got paid a ton of money to do the bare minimum.

Now that JaMarcus is gone, they need to do something about McFadden.

He's weapon and seems to be pretty physical when he doesn't have the ball but runs scared far too often.

It's about damn time..... Now who will be the lucky team to pick him up??

Russell didn't show enough at last week's minicamp for Al Davis to justify carrying him as a $6.5 million risk throughout the spring and summer. The No. 1 overall pick in the 2007 draft, selected over then-coach Lane Kiffin's objections, finishes his Raiders career with a 7-18 record, 52.1 completion percentage, 18:23 TD-to-INT ratio and a 65.2 passer rating. Considering his bloated contract (Davis paid him $40M over the past 3+ years), Russell may have bypassed Ryan Leaf as the biggest bust in NFL draft history. Don't expect to see any other teams rushing out to sign Russell, though we've heard rumors that the Colts may kick his tires down the road.

I don't know where Rotoworld heard that rumor but it would be awesome to see JaMarcus holding a clipboard along the Colts sideline.

Lol JaMarcus Russell work? If he keeps the money he earned from being cut he can make 1 to 2 million dollars a year off interest.

Raiders Fans Rejoice!!!!

This is the scene in Oakland right now hearing the news of Russell being released:

:disco:

The Raiders are having a great off-season. I think the Raiders are going to turn it around this decade. Grabbing Rolando McClain at 8 was a very smart move, and though some were critical because of how high he was taken, McClain will have the same effect Patrick Willis did. I'm thinking they might actually be playing for a wild card playoff spot late in the season instead of playing spoiler to other teams.

Strong words.

McClain is a very good prospect but he doesn't appear to have the quickness or speed Willis which makes me wonder how much an impact he'll have.

And while their division is weak and a lot can change from season to another, A LOT would have to go right for them to make a play-off push.

I have had the feeling that JaMarcus was going to be released for just a little while, and it has finally come to pass.

There is a possibility that the Raiders may improve, but that will take time. Still, there is always hope among the Raider faithful.

I'm calling that he is going to the Cowboys.

They already traded for Flozell's replacement.

yes good riddance to Russell. He did absolutely nothing for them. I believe hes a much bigger bust than Ryan Leaf due to thae fact that Leaf won more games and made less money

he will be picked up by some team, they will get the 1st rd potential he had for the price of a 3rd string QB. I do not think he will ever see a big payday again in his life though

NFL.com is saying both Cincinnati and New England are two possible landing spots for Russell.

NE will groom him for cheap too, then all of a sudden when Brady hangs em up, Russell will be able to take over

I agree. If he can somehow turn it around on another team, that could change. It's hard to believe that he'll ever be a decent NFL QB though.

Let's hope he goes to Cincinnati, gives us more of a chance for our Defense to get to haunt him.
