Are you serious? A thread called "What school you go to?" about schooling? The irony.

I attended the following:

Professional Academy of Broadcasting, Knoxville, TN - which is now out of business.
Knoxville State Area Vocational-Technical School, Knoxville, TN - which didn't work out.
Roane State Community College, Oak Ridge, TN. A.S. papers.
Short stint at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Currently, I am hoping to try my luck as a writer, but my typewriter keeps giving up the ghost as far as the ribbon goes, so now I am hoping to save for a used laptop with Word, per some advice from theWarden86.

I still fantasize about working in radio, but now I dream of satellite radio.

I would like to caution everyone about releasing too much personal information. Discussing what you used to do is one thing, talking about where you are and what you do now could be risky. Please keep in mind that there are some nutcases that track people down from information posted on the internet.

Should I feel bad for going to good schools and busting my butt? I did 4-5 hours of homework a night in high school, in college I was doing 6-8 hours a night. In medical school ALL you do is homework and depending in your year you're making rounds AND going to lectures.

I don't think I'm better than anyone. If anything, the people I go to school with / interning with make ME feel stupid, haha.

EDIT: I do miss my comfy job working patient stats and lab results though.

PIU? I like that. The only one I remember hearing is Marine U.

You know (and this is still vaguely on topic), you will have the opportunity to take Navy Institute courses. Basically they are like CLEPs: You get the book and schedule the test. They help your career and can count as college credit. You'll undoubtedly be forced to take the "personal finance" one as soon as you get to your first unit.

I've taken MANY Marine Corps Institute courses (Intelligence/Counter Intelligence and Counter Terrorism were my faves).
