Madden 11

Haha does everyone who uses the Ravens use the Circle play? Another great passing play is called the Bench, it's in the Tight Shotgun formation with 4wr and Rice in the backfield. PA Boot in the Singleback Bunch formation is one of my favorites as well.

Truly Madden 11 looks like Madden 10 with a few cool patches. What did it take them three months to make this game?

Update rosters... CHECK

Isomotion... Innovative... CHECK

Play customization and simplicity...Great idea... CHECK

"Dev's should we make this dlc on Madden 10 and charge $15? Nah dog lets just make it Madden 11."...CHECK

"Oh, and tell Donny Moore to boost the NFC East some more as usual regardless of talent or real NFL results and as usual ignore everyone in the AFC North except for Pittsburg"... CHECK

"Simpler, Faster, Deeper," that's our slogan, let's sell it!"...CHECK

"That's a wrap, lets go get a beer!"...CHECK

Honestly, the blog videos look exactly like 10. Same tackle animations.

No doubt, Madden needs to work on tackle animations in the worst way.

Of course these photos are from the Audio Blog talking about sound improvements but still it's nice to see photos.

Here's a IGN article on Madden 11 talking about Gus Johnson's commentary and some other stuff about Madden 11.

http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/109/1091880p1.html

Key Points:
Animations seemed smoother, AI (artificial intelligence) had seen some nice tuning and, of course, Gus Johnson was raucous in the commentary booth. One thing that Madden diehards are really going to appreciate in Madden NFL 11 is a new found ability for players other than the offensive line to lay solid blocks on the defense. I was playing with my Jacksonville Jaguars (yes, they're mine) against the Miami Dolphins. From the 18-yard line, Maurice Jones-Drew broke a run outside to the left. In years past, the cornerback marking the wide receiver would undoubtedly have to be dodged because the wide outs were as effective at blocking as a piece of fried chicken. This year, Michael Sims-Walker was able to push the cornerback guarding him to the side, which was just enough for MJD to scamper for the touchdown.

Sadly, during my game against the Dolphins, one classic Madden problem showed its ugly head on three separate occasions. One pass went to the right side of the endzone, another went to the right sideline, and yet another went to the left sideline. Each Jags receiver successfully made the catch, but totally failed to get his damn two feet in bounds. I'd forgive one or two occurrences of this given the build I was playing was still quite early, but for EA Sports to be touting a receiver's ability to finally get their feet properly in bounds and then to see the opposite occur three times, it was enough to get me pretty heated.

During all of this action, Gus Johnson was doing his thing in the booth, adding plenty of life to the action. I was a little disappointed that the environment of EA3 wasn't all that conducive to getting a good audio experience, but there's no doubt that Gus freaks out during big plays, just as he should. His comments sounded like there were still seams that kept the dialogue from blending together perfectly, but there's still a lot of time left in development as I was told that Gus's implementation was only about 70% complete at this point.
Pretty interesting article. Those are the things that stood out to me. Seems like as long as EA fixes Offline Franchise and gets it to work properly I'll be happy.

Things like skewed trade values, not being able to sign some prospects (bug), converting 3-4 OLBs to 4-3 DEs, improving their overall by about 7-15 and being capped at 10 draft picks for any given year are just a few things that are irritating.

yep agreed, and don't forget about the crazy contracts too.

the 3-4/4-3 thing is all on EA because in the game even though you can choose which one to run, player wise there is no difference. 4-3 players play the same as they would in a 3-4, regardless where there natural position is. There's no system preference that determines which system is best for a player. You notice that Defensive Tackles and Nose Tackles are grouped under one position Defensive Tackles. The positions are the same, there is no ILB, Weakside Linebacker position, the positions are grouped as basic positions so you can't tell the difference between the players. Even Coaches don't have a preference like for DCs they either run a 3-4 or 4-3. Offensive Coordinators don't have a system preference.

Just one of the many things I wish Madden would fix, screw videos of guys getting off the bus, or tailgating...get the damn game right, then add in all the other bells and whistles.

I'd also like the option of building a new stadium rather than relocate and have to change the teams name and uniform. That's just ridiculous.

I want Online Team Play like they have in the NHL series. You can join games and you only control 1 player and you play with a bunch of other players who only control their 1 guy, or you can create your own team if you have enough buddies and play against other Online teams. THEY NEED TO EMPLOY THIS IN MADDEN!!

If you are in the League you play other full teams, otherwise you can just go to lobby and select Online Team Play and you play with a bunch of random people. It would be much easier in Madden if you were on a team because say your player is Mt. Cody's size and plays NT but you join a game where everyone snags up the Dline spots you would have to find a new game because your not going to stick a 6'4 350 NT at Linebacker or Safety lol.

For instance if they employed OTP (Online Team Play) in Madden, all of us PS3 users on the board could make a Ravens Msg Board Team. I'm really good as a DB. :)

THIS OTP I SPEAK OF WAS INTRODUCED IN NHL 09 SO MADDEN HAS BEEN MISSING OUT FOR 2 YEARS OF THIS ONLINE FUN

Think they may change Madden 11 so you can't exploit goal-line formations, running the Power O?

All I've had to do to put up 300+ yard rushing games against anyone is;

Choose any team with a decent runningback and a pair of decent back-up tackles.

Opt for Goal-Line formation, subbing the two Tight Ends on the right side of the line with two run blocking tackles.

Hand the ball off and run for anywhere between 5 yards and however far away the endzone is.

Seriously, me and a friend put up rediculous rushing numbers against one another and had to start putting up goal-line fronts every play to try and compete.

I'd bring in my clone of Ronnie Lott/Deion Sanders and shut it down at CB. With my created CB I have 14 picks in 2 seasons not including the 7 I have in my playoff games. In the 1st Superbowl I had 3 picks on Favre and 2 went for TD's lol.
