You guys are lucky to avoid Ben once this season. He's got the edge over the Raven Defense these last couple years. 4-1 in the last five meetings is it?

*slaps Red* lol

He's definitely had success against the Ravens but the Steelers have been 4-1 against the Ravens with Ben starting.

Don't mean to be a stickler but I can't stand the awarding of wins to QBs.

Back to Madden 11 lol I definitely got excited after reading That. The new facial system is something that really intrigues me.

How are they doing the facial system, is it gonna be for starters only or for everyone.

Our boys would be on edge too if they weren't getting any :P

Also the good thing about you guys taking a Centre in the first round is Ben can ***-grab all he wants without getting arrested.

It'll probably be for starters and some significant backups only (Reggie Bush, Willis McGahee, etc.) before they eventually try to get as much of the roster as possible in Madden 12. If they don't get Flacco's face in the game this time around, I'll be pissed...

I'll second that. Nothing was better in 10 than watching some guy wearing a Joe Flacco jersey conducting a post-game interview after a great game.

Everything looks great this year, but I'm holding out judgment until I see what improvements they bring to Offline Franchise. I only play Offline Franchise when I play Madden and I want to feel like I'm in control of the team, now it's just play the games and that's it.

I want some fine-tuned difficulty in general. Even messing around with the difficult, I'll find it too easy on one setting, and the next setting is too difficult. I can't remember the last time I lost a game in my franchise >.> I actually have to go out of my way to keep it close. I would use my recent 56-3 (with Delhomme sacked 10 times) trouncing of the Browns as evidence, but it's the Browns...

Man I know what you mean, I somehow got my Madden IQ to 700 (no idea how, have never been there since...i musta been in the zone) and I tried a game on the max difficulty on custom and it was ridiculous. You basically can never not have 2 hands on the ball, your Oline gets shredded by 4 rushers, even if you run the ball and the defense is in the dime you get annihilated because your Oline barely touches anyone.

Do we have any idea what the potential system is going to be like in this one? The one in Madden 10 is a bit...boring. Think they may change it up to something like A+, A, A-, B+, B, B- etc?

I'd also like to be able to alter a player's potential since, you know, Heyward-Bey actually has value because he's one of few young potential A receivers with Blazing speed.

when you goto player management each player has a letter grade for their potential. What I dont understand is how guys who are 32+ years old can have "A" potential, past 33 theyre not going to get any better/

Well guys like Darren Sharper and Ray Ray improved this year, even if only a few points. But the whole system needs a overhaul.

Don't mean to get off topic here... but this seems pretty relevant as this is an EA Sports game
http://gameinformer.com/b/news/archive/2010/05/10/ea-unveils-new-online-pass-program-codes-required-for-online-play.aspx?PageIndex=1
EA Sports announced today a new program called the EA Sports Online Pass. In simple terms, the Online Pass is a one-time registration code that must be entered by the user in order to play EA Sports games online. Once the code is entered, you will have access to online multiplayer, online dynasty modes, and well as promised “bonus additional content”. The upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 will be the first EA Sports title to use the Online Pass program. All future EA Sports titles will follow suit. Tiger 11’s first announced bonus content is a special, advanced driver available only to those who redeem an Online Pass code.
I'm assuming this will be a code that's given with new copies of the games (much like the online franchise codes from last year). So those of us who rent the game will most likely have to buy the pass in order to play online. Honestly, I think it's pointless and greedy. I could vaguely understand online franchise, but now following suit with just the simple ability to play a quick game online is absurd. Cries of EA being money grubbing jerks are sure to follow soon.

So if I'm reading this correctly, the point of this is to make money from sports games that are traded in (seeing as the developer and publishers do not get paid from resold games) since they're frequently traded in when the newest version is released. Now, if I am in fact comprehending this correctly (since it is quarter to five in the morning), it makes absolutely no sense. Most sports games fanatics trade in the old version and get the new one, and then the old version's price plummets and is much, much harder to sell. Absolutely pointless. All it's going to do, ultimately, is lock out online play for rentals.

It won't be too much of a deal to those of us who buy the game new. Unless EA goes the ultimate greedy... uh, "jerk" route and forces you to buy this pass regardless of you buying the game brand new. Although I find that unlikely, since NCAA Football 10 and Madden 10 both had the precursor to this with their online franchise/team builder codes that you got for free along with your new purchase and only needed to buy if you bought the game used.

The "theory" EA uses to justify their latest "microtransaction" or commission is that second hand sales overload the servers, the thing is EA gets their 60 bucks for a game and no matter who is in possesion of that copy (ie original owner, hired, 2nd owner) only 1 person can use that specific copy online at any moment. Its no different than if the original owner decided not to sell his game back to GameStop and instead keep playing. EA has an obligation to keep their servers up (for at least a year) for each game copy no matter who the owner is.

It's just another money grab to improve profit margins, this is what you can do with a monopoly.
