Ed Reed makes defenses gameplan around his abilities. He makes the whole team better. without ed id hate to have seen what our secondary would have looked like.

I think gary stills deserves to be in the shortlist more than some of those guys, he did go to the pro bowl...

Obviously I'm not picking him, I picked reed, but I just thought he should be there.

Not many people did well and did what they were use to doing, I say Ray Lewis, only cause he still no matter what comes up with the big plays.

It's obviously Ray Lewis! He led the team in tackles not just his total for the season, but in about every game. He had 1 fumble recovery (for some reason that was very rare on defense this past season), 2 picks, and returned one for a TD to put us back in the game against the Browns. He had great season! Kelly Gregg was amaizing! Ed Reed lead us in INTs, and Suggs had about 20 more tackles than last season and lead us in sacks!

Voted for Gregg because he played with Ray-like intensity this year and still got snubbed by the media and the fans.

nice vocab

Kelly Gregg (thought Ngata is right there too) because his role in the defense lets the LB get to the RB by eating up blocks and his pressure forces bad throws that led to some (though not all) of the INTs that we got this season. In no way am I saying that Ray and Ed and the rest of the Ravens D is not awesome too, its just that having a good force in the trenchs makes everyone else behind him play eve better, but it is one of the most unsung postions in the NFL for the work that he does for our team.

My vote was for Ray Lewis because he is still the heart and soul of the defense...but kudos to Reed, Ngata and Gregg. They are ALL invaluable at their respective positions. Without them ALL we wouldn't be the defensive TEAM we are, and many of the others too.
