According to Ian Cummings this is going to be applied to both NCAA 11 and Madden 11. Skip to 1:06, it shows the RT/RG double teaming the DT/NT. Overall the video is great and this should make running the 3-4 easier and more realistic. I was very impressed with the video, yeah it's video from NCAA 11 but I'm sure we'll get a video of the Real AI system in Madden 11.

They have this in Madden 10, those plays are not based on having an elite DT or space eater being able to draw double teams, it's offensive scheme based.

Really? No matter the type of play or formation I ran, I never see double teams.

Love having Sean Weatherspoon as "Sean Weatherspo" in Madden 10 :( Thanks for the limited character space, EA.

:plus-un2:

I agree. It's amazing, as I was creating the rookies and getting them to match with their real life counter part, I would put their real hometown in and I can fit a hometown name that is longer than Weatherspoon even if the hometown has a space in between yet I can't fit Weatherspoon in the name section. I just put "Weather" lol.

Nice Avatar Awaken.

Yeah, I did that too. I was concerned about Hometowns being too long. I never thought I'd need to concern myself with last names. Meh, at least I'm not playing as the Falcons and have to see "Weatherspo" every game.

Double post, but I don't care. It's warranted right now :P

Hey JO, did you create David Reed at all? I'm curious as to what ratings you gave him, if you have. Since I cannot find his rating online yet, I'm going by popular opinion right now (and by popular opinion, I mean me and whoever else may have made him...).

No I did not. The rookies I have is in the list I made of all the rookies in my first post. I didn't create Reed, Dickson, or Harewood, though I will create Harewood for Offensive line depth. Sorry I couldn't be a help. The reason why you can't find his is because EA only released the ratings for players drafted in the 1st 3 rounds.

Yeah, I know EA's weren't out. But I thought maybe this was being discussed somewhere on the web. But Google has failed me. And it's no big deal, I thought it was worth a shot. I have him sitting at a 69 overall right now.

That's about right. I would have rated him around a 65 but that's just me. I gotta say it's fun playing with the new rookies. Though I'll say if you start a Franchise make sure you control all the teams and fix all the rookie contracts because you don't need a rookie being released so soon.

Nothing beats subbing JJ out and putting Kindle in on 3rd and long, then laying the smack down on the quarterback. My first sack with Kindle laid Cassell out and forced the fumble. Harewood's the only Ravens rookie I don't have created. I'm not sure if I'll even bother, even though we need another offensive lineman with Terry on the Colts.

Can we all agree 2005 had the best soundtrack?
I thought 07' had the best soundtrack but 05' was also pretty good.Of course all I can remember from 05' is "Take Me Out" by Franz Ferdinand lol.

So Agree! My first sack on a Rookie QB was Ray Lewis sacking Jimmy Clausen. My first Sack with Kindle was against Palmer. Man it felt good seeing Kindle sacking Carson Palmer and forcing the Bengals to punt the ball. I do that every time, switch out JJ with Kindle and it works out great! I love switching Gregg with Cody, Cody is a beast! Sometimes I run a 4-3 with
Kruger-Cody-Ngata-Pryce on my defensive line. I mostly stick with a 3-4 but sometimes run that 4-3 just to toss it up a bit and confuse the offense.

I just wish there was an easier way of subbing Kindle in on third and long. It's so long-winded to pause, go to depth chart, LOLB. Oh well. I used to get bored a bit with Madden, so I created a Roster file that switched Suggs to RE, Ngata to DT, and Gooden to ROLB then run the 4-3 with Suggs - Ngata - Gregg - Pryce on the line. Worked out surprisingly well. I remember my friend getting confused when he'd play me online and not be able to do anything against my 4-3 defense lol

I've probably seen this in total 4 times, all on running plays. There are two animations from what I've seen, one where two o-linemen lock up the defender, and another where they slowly drive him onto his back and they both fall on him then roll to the side. it rarely happens so when it does it's memorable.

I used a 4-3 in one of my franchise with Suggs-Ngata-Gregg-Kruger on the line and Gooden-Lewis-Barnes as my backers and hired Jeff Fischer as my DC to improve Goodens and Barnes awareness and just let their athleticism play out. That 4-3 was absolutely nasty.

I'm in the 4th year of one of my Ravens franchise and my team is literally unstoppable. I moved Kruger to end permanently so my 3-4 has Suggs-Ngata-Cody-Kruger-Kindle (Cody is 6'8 355 and Kindle is 6'2 245, just switched names of rookies I drafted). I logged 10 sacks with at least 5 different people in each season and Suggs has like 70 sacks through the 4 seasons(halfway through 4th season).

My backend has Webb,Cromartie,Reed and Zbikowski. Through those 4 I have 28 INT's, Webb and Cromartie have 9 each, Zbi has 6 while Reed has 4. It's just an unbelievably unfair team to play against haha, I won't even get into the offense. ;)

A lot of the times I will drive the field and then boot a FG when I get in range just so I can play Defense, currently in my 4th season Billy Cundiff is ahead of Drew Brees for MVP haha.

Hey, just wanted to see who has created rookies and put them on their respective teams. I have no idea why but I could only create 4 players, and if I try any more it won't let me and the people don't show up on the roster. I have tons of rookies created and on their teams via either creating(Bradford, Berry, Clausen and Mr. Irrelevant lol I know it's a waste but I thought it be funny lol) and I got other rookies by finding rookie free agents, or rookies on teams who don't matter and changing their info and name to a rookie who got drafted. I have majority of the rookies, I'm only missing a few first rounders but other than that I'm good.

with the patch u can only make four or five now. if u want more realistic ratings for the first three rounds of draft. www.pastapadre.com

Yeah I already have the ratings set for all the rookies. I just went and used their rookie ratings that they have for Madden 11. I just added Jermaine Gresham, Colt McCoy, Brandon LaFell, Damian Williams and Jerry Hughes. I may have added more but I can't remember. Now I'm set with majority of the 1st round and have a few second and third rounders. I am getting ready to start a new Franchise and set the proper contracts to them and begin.

If your talking about ratings for the rookies based off NCAA, those are so messed up it's not realistic. By now everybody knows that EA has the ratings for the rookies drafted in the 1st 3 rounds posted. I just use them and play from there. Like I said I have majority of the players created and ready to begin a Franchise.

Actually, the NCAA Ratings for Rookies in Madden are ridiculously low half the time. Suh was around a 65 my first franchise.

Edit: Double team blocks are in the game, but only as a part of inside rushing, you still can't draw them with big/good DTs or make plays from them.
