Anyone Planning Their New York Trip Yet?

51 posts in this topic

Call me crazy if you will but I am already planning my trip to NY with a couple of buddies to watch the Ravens whoop up on the Jets on the monday night stage!!! Was wondering if anyone else is planning to attend the game?? Since it is a new stadium does anyone know where all the Raven fans will be parking to tailgate??

I plan to go to the game, probably by rail, if I score reasonably priced tickets. However, I am headed to New Jersey, where the game will be played, not New York.

Considering that this will be the first Jets regular season game in their new home, I would be surprised to see many Ravens fans obtaining tickets to the game.

I'm looking at going! Only problem is I can't get any of my friends or wife to go with me, haha. Tickets on eBay have been going for $180+ a pop. I don't have a problem driving up there and have been scoping out parking passes as well, usually $50.

I've already scheduled myself off from rounds for the Jets and all the home games. I'll be in NY for week 1 wearing my Flacco jersey :ICONATOR_01040da29c18a4eed76047

Just bought my tickets as well. $180 a pop wasn't too shabby, upper level 5 yard line.

Anybody plan on tailgating?

How are Jets fans? My wifes birthday is right around the game and I was thinking about taking her. I just don't want trouble.

I live in New York and Jets fans are nuts! They are typical New York fans. The only problem with this particular game, is that it is the first game in the new stadium. That means very few Ravens fans, even less than an average road attendance. I'm sure there will be no trouble though.

Pulled the trigger on tickets. My wife better not get cheese fries thrown at her, lol.

Now for the laundry list of questions. Where should I fly into? Where should we stay? Etc. Thanks in advance for any advice. ;)

Fly in to Newark, New Jersey, (EWR), take a taxi to one of the hotels below.

Thanks. A buddy told me the Sheraton would be the best bet for hooking up with Ravens fans. Do you agree?

Also. I was going to rent a car and tail-gate since I got a parking pass as well. Do any of these hotels shuttle fans to the game and back?

Found this hotel that is 2 miles away from the stadium, they run free shuttles to anywhere within a 5 mile radius. I'm going to book a room for that Monday night there.

I'm also looking for fellow Ravens fans to tailgate with!

Its good to hear that there are Raven fans already all booked up... Since I have a friend that works for Hilton he got me a good deal @ The Hamption Inn Secaucus, below is the information if anyone else is interested in staying there (very close to the stadium). We are also renting a car and want to tailgate so if anyone hears about where the majority of Raven fans will be please post on here. Thanks

re hotels: This may be too late to help with the Jets game, but, for the Navy-Notre Dame game at the Meadowlands in Ocotober, I have booked a mid-range hotel for $107 that is literally (long) walking distance to the new Meadowlands stadium:
Hampton Inn

304 Paterson Plank Road
Carlstadt, New Jersey, USA, 07072
1-201-935-9000
They run door to door pregame free shuttles, and a little dicier post game shuttle.

It would be worth a phone call.

I'll be in one of the yellow lots.

Now, exactly when do i reveal to the Jets homer that I got my tickets from that he sold his awesome Mez level seats to a Raven? This guy is gonna flip out when he realizes where his tickets went, lol.

My boyfriend sells PSL's for the Jets. (against my will) He won a sales contest and was given coaches club seats for the Giants Jets preseason game, so went to the game together. (in our Ravens hats) Club was sort of just like an upgraded cafeteria, but the food was free. Only sweet thing as a fan is you have the opportunity to watch the post game press conference in person live in the club. I don't know, I guess for 30,000 dollar seats, I was expecting something more. Even worse, the majority of the fans in this section don't know the difference between a cornerback and a quarterback. I'd rather be in the uppers.

My friends and I got 4 lower level endzone tickets for $230 a piece with a parking pass on ebay. Sadly I am the only Ravens fan among them, but I will be rocking my Suggs jersey regardless.
