I really do not know how Brock Lesnar is capable of cutting weight to 265, the man must be 285 right now.

I bet Brock Lesnar could take down a Moose and a Grizzly Bear in a 3 way Free For All match.

Brock out skilled someone, didn't think he would ever be able to do that. I was pulling for Carwin and he ALMOST finished it. I think Brock getting sick was the best thing to ever happen to him. I think he is FAR more technical now and thats a scary combo.

How about that armbar by Chris Lytle. He had his guy in a triangle choke controlling his head and he just sat there and worked on his arm until he locked in the armbar, it was something else. I'm starting to become a fan of Lytle's as his last few fights have been pretty impressive, I can say the same thing for Chris Leben.

Carwin is an idiot, he stormed in guns blazing and got rope-a-doped by the champ.

Also, that choke he put on Carwin could plug the BP oil pipe.

That was a great fight last night! Lesnar let Carwin wear himself out then took care of the rest... it looked bad, but it seemed to be strategic.

agree I hated Leban on TUF season 1 cuz dude was all mouth but he has learned a great deal and the rematch with Silva won't go the same way it did last time, and always liked Lytle overall was just a great show last night one of the best ever imo.

I really don't think Lesnar "let" him get tired, he was getting his ### beat like a little school girl and Carwin punched himself out. Honestly what person lets another man person beat him down to wear the other guy out, that's just unheard of man. Simply put he was getting extremely out-classed when they were standing up, why do you think the first thing Lesnar did in round 2 was shoot for the takedown?

Anderson Silva fights in the next UFC event and I hope he gets his block knocked off by Chael Sonnen to give Silva a reality check. His last few fights have probably been as bad as any fights in the UFC.

It's called the rope-a-dope and it's not exactly a new concept. Any big guy who is stupid enough to punch himself tired deserves to lose.

I still don't see how Lesnar implied this in his gameplan because soon after he got rocked the first time he shot for the takedown, Carwin somewhat defended it and this is how they ended up on the ground the first time in round 1. MMA is a completely different game then boxing, there is no rope a dope in the cage because 95% of the time the ref will stop the fight when the fighter is not intelligently defending himself. True though as Carwin did punch himself out big time and probably thought the ref was going to stop it.

Just like you don't leave a fight in the hands of the judges you wouldn't assume wailing on a downed opponent is an automatic stoppage. Most guys will cover up their face and freeze whereas Brock was watching, moving and defending. He was also unfazed enough to get back up at the end of round one and pin Carwin to the cage for some dirty boxing.

The rope-a-dope reference was in regards to your comment
Honestly what person lets another man person beat him down to wear the other guy out, that's just unheard of man.
because it's not unheard of it's actually a common term. Carwin, like Foreman back in the jungle, thought his opponent could not take his punches.

On a side note I don't think Brock wanted to let Carwin punch himself out he just he really had no choice but to defend and try to mount a comeback. He also said he noticed Carwins punches getting weaker halfway through round one.

Carwin busted his nut faaaar to early. Believe me, the rope a dope was not Brocks intentions. Brocks intention was survival at that point. It just so happened to work out that Carwin wasted his energy. I personally think and was saying to my firends, he need to just get up and make Brock stand. He would have surely knocked him out.

as for Leban, I can't stand him, hes a punk. I will say his skills have improved, BIG TIME since making lifestyle changes.. i still don't like him though. Just like the diaz brothers, PUNKS.

Completely agree as all Lesnar was trying to do was survive for most of the first round. When Carwin was standing over top of him on the ground I was yelling at Carwin to let him stand up, his mistake that he didn't.

That Lesnar-Carwin fight still makes me cringe. When that fight left the first round, it was over for Carwin. I hate to say that, but it's true. I thought for sure Carwin was going to be the first one to knock out Lesnar...such a disappointment. Carwin better be working on his fitness and conditioning because I'm already pumped for Lesnar vs. Carwin 2! haha.

Don't forget to root for Arthur Jone's younger brother Jon tonight. He's going to tear it up.

Hope everyone enjoyed Jones' total domination of Matyushenko. I think he's ready to fight one of the big boys...

...any predictions as to who he'll fight next? I think Rich Franklin would be a great fight next. Maybe set him up like this:

1)Franklin
2)Machida
3)Rua

...But only if he is 2-0 from Franklin and Machida. If he beats both of them, I think he deserves a shot at the title if Rua still owns it. If not, then he should fight whoever does.

clicked this til i realized it may have results lol will watch tomororow was it a good card?

I thought it was good. It had a nice combination of long and short fights. Some were looking forward to the Munoz fight more than Jones' because they thought it was a better matchup. But that's the great thing about dvr: if you don't like it, just push fast-forward. Just don't read my prior post lol.

Anyone catch the event last night? Well if you did you definitely got your money's worth this time to see Silva fight. Sonnen poured it on him for 4 rounds while each fighter was rocked at some point in the fight. Sonnen almost ko'd Silva in the first and then after Anderson recovered he almost put Sonnen down in the 2nd. Sonnen did an awesome job right up until the point of when he got lazy on the ground in the 5th, next thing you know Anderson slips in a lightning quick triangle choke to finish the fight.

The Alves and Fitch fight disappointed me though as the ring rust was evident on Thiago Alves, he didn't start using fluid movement until the 3rd round. I was excited to see him but he will be better next fight, Fitch took every round by bringing him to the ground and smothering him.

Clay Guida is never disappointing as he put on a good show and his opponent eventually tapped after an injury(broken jaw when the ground game was going on).

All in all it was an awesome PPV.

Totally agree. It was so much better than 116. Every fight was entertaining. If there's any way to order it after the fact I highly recommend it. It was worth every penny. Silva showed why he's the champion. Lesnar v. Dos Santos is going to be fun to watch when that goes down too.

I still can't believe that triangle in the 5th by Silva. Epic.

Dos Santos won't be fighting Lesnar because Brock is going to be put down by Cain Velasquez. :)
