Torry Holt Is Now A Patriot

14 posts in this topic

Well, after the lackluster year in Jacksonville, Big Play Torry Holt seems to want a quarterback this year. Apparently, he signed a one year, $1.7 million contract today with New England. Guess the Pats are preparing in case Welker can't start the sense or if he suffers from that injury last year.

Holt's production is going to largely depend on Welker's health. Brady loves Welker on the screens and short dump offs, so if he's in and able to play, Holt isn't going to get very many looks. I really don't think it has anything to do with faith in Moss. From what I read, this is probably Moss' last year in New England, and Holt is by no means a replacement for him. Holt's too old, but it wouldn't surprise me to see the Pat's draft a wide out.

they've got that Edelman dude, hes basically Welker's clone. But yeah they'll probably take a chance on Dez Bryant because all players character problems magically disappear in New England.

To me, this screams a loss of faith in Randy Moss, as well as concern about Welker.

mmm, think about that for a sec...

"Moss is old and over the hill. Whatever will we do? I know..Let's get Torry Holt!"

I think they'd aim a little higher if they were truly concerned about Moss. Or Welker, although Edelman filled in very nicely for him last year.

Simply a depth move; you can never have enough experienced, proven players on your team when the price is that low.

The lack of faith in Moss isn't from his production, it's from his attitude, the season hasn't started and he's already gone on about not being a Pat after this season.

Still, it's hard to imagine that Torry "No Game" Holt is their insurance policy...

Let the countdown to the "Lets sign Randy Moss" threads begin!!

Please god no. However, since everytime a receiver goes into FA or is rumored to be on the block.... topics pop up, so I'm sure you're right.

I think Holt still has something left in the tank, he just had some bad qb´s the last 2 years. Let´s see what he can do with Brady throwing to him.
