I Hate Florida

I need to preface this story with the fact that I still have Maryland plates (the car is still in my dad's name) and I have a Ravens metal decal on my car. So I was driving to my apartment the other day, with my windows down (oh yeah) and some guy pulls up next to me and yells, "So how 'bout those New England Patriots?" and then drives off. About a month before that, while on the phone with my father in the car, some jerk yells "Ravens suck!" to which I responded with "You suck!" immediately, confusing my father. Why can't the Ravens get some love in the south?

Well there is only one person I know that is from florida, and they are always cracking jokes that are ****-poor, so maybe that's just their Idea of humor.

I am no way shape or form a pleasant morning person, I am a nite owl. We were driving to pick up my dad for the last game and this idiot started gesturing and being obnoxious and I could not figure out why until I saw the Steeler plates and they were reacting to our Ravens plates on the van.

Yeah, a little bit.

Most of the time they're like (because most of my friends like rugby, as do I) ' oh, they're wussies because they wear pads and helmets'. Then I ask them if they have ever actually watched a game, Most of them say no.

There is a pretty big fan base for it here, but I think at the moment it's just curiosity.

Florida is OK. Fantastic weather. I've had insults thrown my way as well. I have USF, Orioles, and Ravens stuff on my vehicle. When the O's lost 30-3, people were relentless. People HATE the Ravens for some reason. I have heard many reasons for this, but they are exaggerated and trivial. Bucs fans are ok, but it's mostly Stealer fans. They are EVERYWHERE. My USF decal gets looks in Orlando, but they are Gator fans living in UCF territory, so they have more than a few problems.

You mean they're everywhere when the Steelers are doing well. The Bucs fans are pretty cool, I didn't get ragged too much when I went to the game last year, especially afterwards...ah, the good old days.

I'm not allowed to post on the board what I call Pittsburgh My cousin married a guy from Pittsburgh( he was blessedly kind at Christmas this year considering what be did to him last year) passed out copies of the score board shot I took the last game of the final score.
